Right, because all DAs are moral pillars of the community.I am merely asking for the science behind the statement. Like I said, I was under the impression no such test existed. It's been discussed all over the media. Is that really an unreasonable request? It certainly isn't "splitting hairs". Let alone hares.
I'd be interested to know if such a release holds harmless other participants who signed a release. I would think the release is to hold harmless the track. I don't know how races operate. That said, I do believe that someone is going to get sued.
Okay. Tell that to the judge if you're charged and fail the test.
Legal standards and real world actualities do not necessarily match up. You two will never agree because you two aren't even arguing the same concept.I would. And I would be correct. Why are you arguing such a silly point? Wouldn't you want an honest, fair, accurate test? Or are you one of these control freaks that thinks weed smokers should be locked up?

He put himself in danger by just being at a track. People are killed every year spectating, crewing and driving. Its part of the game.I don't see how.
1. he put himself into danger by getting out of his car.
2. He was impaired and not thinking properly of his actions. (no sane person gets out of his car and walks into the middle of a race track).
i don't see how stewart or anyone else is responsible for his death. sure the family could try to sue but the case would be dismissed based on lack of merit.
his death was a result of his own actions and no one else's.
this is why i don't believe in drug use.
as a guy that use to be a drug dealer told our group one day.
drugs only get you in 3 situations.
1. shot at
2. in prison
3. dead.
When dumb asses attack a post of mine and call me "dude" or "bro" I point out their idiocy for not noticing the little pink thing under my user name. I don't think you're a dumb ass which is why I wasn't snarky to you.
One good thing came out of this tragedy. Nascar has implemented a new rule. No driver is permitted to exit his car after a crash until the emergency response crews arrive...unless the car is on fire. And no driver exiting his car after a crash is allowed to walk back into traffic.
I am positive someone will get sued. Its the American way.
That's a fine rule and all, but the only reason the man was killed, is because those cars were open wheel (no fenders). The cars driven in NASCAR have fenders, so an incident like the one that killed the guy is highly unlikely.
If Ward's family sues....Stewart should counter sue....Wards own anger driven irresponsible behavior caused great emotional harm and probably financial harmed Stewart.
I am being facetious, but it makes as much sense as Wards family suing Stewart.
It is like I see a train coming, go around the downed crossing gates...and my family sues the train company because the train killed me.
Tony Stewart would probably settle and quick. Too much to lose in the long run to drag out a suit.

Not when money is involved.I would hope his family would have the class to recognize that ward was responsible for his own death. 100 percent.
Drug Test Detection Times for Marijuana
How long do drug tests detect marijuana? There is no simple answer to this question. Detection time depends strongly on the kind and sensitivity of the test employed; the frequency, dosage, and last time of use; the individual subject's genetic makeup, the state of one's metabolism, digestive and excretory systems; and other random, unknown factors.
The basic drug test types and their approximate detection times are shown in the table below.
The most popular kind of drug test is the urine test, which can detect marijuana for days or weeks after use. Note that urine tests do not detect the psychoactive component in marijuana, THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), and therefore in no way measure impairment; rather, they detect the non-psychoactive marijuana metabolite THC-COOH, which can linger in the body for days and weeks with no impairing effects.

Not when money is involved.
To lay rest to some of the claims regarding testing and intoxication:
A typical number for a marijuana DUI conviction in some states is 5ng/ml (source) (I presume this is a blood test).
But then, it will be about money and not about their son.
