Today's lunacy, making january the sixth into a nothingburger.

I think we need a 1/6 Commission....just like they did for Benghazi....and let it drag out for years.

Yes, I'd like to know where Trump was at the moment the insurrection turned violent. We know where Pence was, in the capitol correctly running for cover from the violent mob.
But where was Trump? When did he learn of the violence? Had to be almost immediately. When did he make any efforts to respond to it? And why did it take so long? Why did he tell the rioters who had been seen on nationally TV attacking the Capitol "your'e very special people." Let's get trump called before Congress to answer 11 hours worth of questions as HRC did for Benghazi. Could you imagine that buffoon having to actually answer questions defending his conduct?

Watching it on TV and no doubt enjoying it. What says it all is that at no time did the President of the United States contact the DoD or his AG to find out what they were doing to assist in protecting the Capitol and his VP. I cannot imagine any other President being so totally removed from such a horrific situation. That is unconscionable, plain and simple.

Since we do know he had to have been watching it all, I wonder if there was any point in time where his delusional brain actually thought there was a chance his mob could thwart the electoral college vote and "stop the steal?" I would not be surprised in the least.

we were watching the anti american GOP conservatives do the dirty deed and watched Rump and saw MAGA hats and such all over the violent action

But his story doesn't totally add up, as Ocasio-Cortez showed. An evacuation was ordered of the Capitol at around 1:26 p.m., she said, and about 8 minutes after that, Mayor Bowser had called the military for help.

"At 3 p.m., about an hour and a half later, you determined that 'all available forces of the D.C. National Guard are required to reinforce MPD and USCP positions,'" she said. "Now that's not an authorization to deploy to the Capitol, correct?"

In what version of “reality” is a few thousand people in horn hats at the US Capitol much of a threat to anything?

I was confident the US Military could handle it. If necessary anyway, which it wasn’t.

They are anti-American traitors. They think not talking about the trump incited insurrection on our Capitol on January 6, 2021 will make it disappear. They think that making the Trump Klan Party attack on our government and our democracy can be remembered as a party, just a group of tourists. These trump worshipers and sycophants are disgraceful, unpatriotic and a cancer in our society. We can't be healed until the cancer is removed.

This is what he was planning ever since he declared that if he lost the election, it would be a fraud. I would bet he was indirectly involved with the planning and my guess is Roger Stone was the go between for the Proud Boys and Trump. We heard him in the debate tell the PB to "Stand Back and Stand By". What exactly were they standing by for? Well, we saw it on Jan. 6th.

It doesn't take a real genius to figure out what happened here. And Trump really didn't cover his tracks that well.

So let it all begin here and now and let the truth be known. May the indictments speak for themselves.

When you get serious and honest about teh plethora of riots, er . . .peaceful demonstrations that went on through out the summer, we can talk January 6th. You guys totally ignore and deny those little events.

That's correct. It was an attempted insurrection. It failed because of the total incompetency of everyone from Trump down to the last duped rioter. We are very lucky it did fail.
