Put a indicator in the title that indicates the thread is the result of two or more threads.

For example: Add #M the title to indicate merged.

I don't see why that's needed. It's all the same topic....so what if two threads were merged?

Right now an in thread message is added as a post which is pretty useless. With the indicator in the title, it alerts everyone.

And this does what for me?

I'm assuming the poster who's thread was 'erased' and merged with another is notified. I really can't see that it makes any difference to anyone but that poster...?

Provides coherence.

I hate dupe threads, but when there are two or more, they often take off in different directions after a few pages. I'd appreciate seeing "(merged)."

The authors are supposed to get a merged thread PM.
