Goebbels' techniques in propaganda are what they are. Whether it be to exterminate a race of people or to be used in propaganda to promote racial divide and unrest as in Ferguson.

But it's easier to respond in this way than to wonder whether there is a gap in your knowledge, seek to fill it, and try to recognize that perhaps the other fellow might have a point.

It's not really saying THESE PEOPLE ARE NAZIS. It's trying to apply a quote or a paraphrase, a sentiment. I don't think such a quote is 1:1 what Joseph Goebbels actually said, however, if we care to get into the nuances of Nazi quotations - which I really, really don't.

Well said. Some people hear the word "Nazi" and get all wadded up. The Nazis employed certain tactics which were, sadly, quite effective. Democrats employ many of those same tactics.
