'This will not stand': Air Force resumes teaching on first Black pilots after DEI review

Thinking of naming my next band "Malicous Compliance," whatever that means.

If means that the removal of the materials involving the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASPs was deliberately intended to be destructive. Whether it was intentional or not, it demonstrated a lack of common sense concerning the basic intent of Trump’s executive order. One could say it was a career-limiting move for whoever ordered it.

In the Trump adminstration, one would think that's a requirement. Malice runs through its members veins.

Well, I think it’s safe to say Trump doesn’t intend to have a repeat of his first administration in which he tolerated individuals who deliberately worked to sabotage his agenda. This time around they’ll need to seek new employment.

The Tuskegee Airman were essentially a part of a DEI program.

Isn't it interesting that before one can establish a DEI program first you have had to have a DAM program like Whites Only, English Only, Townies Only after Dark, Glass Ceilings, No Irish Need Apply, Men Only and the all the morality laws aimed to directing all women's sexual activitees.

That's 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.

It's a distinction without any difference whatsoever. The through line is racism and sexism.

The only distinction is the sequence of time from WW II and FDR-Harry Truman to the Vietnam Era War and LBJ-Richard Nixon. It includes from the "New Deal" to the "Great Society."

The first real reaction against both was the Nixon-Strom Thurmond "Southern Strategy" that shifted the always Conservative American South from the Democratic Party to the ever more Conservative Republican Party. This shift manifests today as Make America Great Again via Trump-MAGA and the Heritage and Federalist Societies. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 are annihilated. The Equal Rights Amendment for women approved by Congress in 1972 and sent to the states is still with the states. Roe v Wade is betrayed and murdered.

This is what your posts omit. Just some of it in fact.

Dream on because that would be yet another humongous blunder triggered by the Trump EO to the DoD that even Hegseth would recognize as another MAGA stinker of a move. "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord."

The Air Force btw never said it was removing the two WW II pilot programs from its basic training course. The AF suspended the three hour bloc of instruction for review and for compliance with Trump's EO. One video called "Breaking Through" that is an AF spirit inducing presentation was removed. The two pilots videos were retained without any change and are in service again as planned.

The basic training three hour bloc of "diversity" education and training is a part of a larger AF education and training program called "Airmindedness" that was temporarily suspended for compliance review. Some particulars of what the AF considered DEI were removed but the Airmindedness day long program of ongoing education and training is back in service again.

I simply might call the AF review of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Womens' Airforce Service Pilots WASPS a compliance with the Trump EO against DEI that might be called "Mischievous Compliance." Nobody died after all.

It violates there idea of a Great America. You know, the kind of thing they want to make great again.

So if we teach people about how the Tuskegee Airmen were denigrated and treated like crap, and how they had a better record than their White Brethren, then people might start thinking that minorities are equal, and we can’t have that.
