This Is Why You're Fat - Where dreams become heart attacks

A really awesome website dedicated to unhealthy but totally enjoyable stuff. Hey, you only live once!

Pizza fries

Five pound grilled cheese with13 different cheeses, 3 slices of grilled bread served with fried and slaw.

I love cheese - I love bread - and I love fries, on occasion, but neither of the two dishes in the OP appeals to my appetite one bit.

Overly greasy food is a real turn off for me.

What people eat a little of once in a while isn't a problem.

What they eat a lot of all day, every day,is a different story

Never heard of pizza fries, but it's a concept that looks look worth a try.

If you've ever owned or worked in an indie proprietor-own fast food joint (think: hot-dog or beef stand), you'd be amazed at how creative you can be with the usually available fast-food ingredients! Why? Because you've got to eat on the job, and get tired of the same stuff everyday!

You'd also be surprised how many hot dog and beef joints get Chinese delivery - via the back-door, of course!

I think chunk diced pepperoni would be a lot better option than sliced pepperoni. And if you could fry those potatoes in pepperoni oil...that would be the spot.

We moved away from the city in '05 and we can't eat that fatty stuff anymore. Goes through me like grass through a goose.
My gastronomic sinning these days involves salt and cholesterol.

Yeah, I might be doing things a bit different - but I like the concept: 'Pizza Fries'

I'm in my mid forties and had been putting on a few pounds I didn't really need. I started fasting on Saturdays 2 or 3 times a month. I'll eat dinner Friday and only drink water until Saturday dinner and sometimes Sunday morning. It really makes me get full on smaller portions. I'm 6-5" and right at 240#. I used to eat large portions but as Father Time creeps up I need less and dieting 2-3 days a month is really easy, and I don't really watch what I eat the rest of the time.

I just have to add one of my favorite fries joints to the list:

And here's a pic of one my one of my favs:

They're known as 'Taylor Street Fries', after one of the city's early Italian neighborhoods. They're perfectly cooked crispy fresh-cut fries infused with 'Italian Beef Gravy', and mixed with a crisp olive-oil based homemade 'Hot Giardiniera'! So good!

Greetings, PoS. :2wave:

OMG! I really really like grilled cheese sandwiches, but I sure never had one that looked like that! :lamo

I just can't get on board with glorifying this kind of food. Even my naughty pleasure foods look nothing like these cheese and grease monsters.

If I ate one of those I'd probably be in a food coma for days, not to mention spending half the day on the can!

I agree

Good fries don't need all the crap covering it and if I want 5lbs of grilled cheese sandwiches, I'll make 10 1/2lbs sandwiches.

yup

the grease isn't for me....a little treat here and there but not too much

have to disagree with ya on the sodium thing though...now that I don't eat it much most fast food tastes a little over salted

7 pound breakfast burrito: eggs, tortilla, little cheese, ham, potatoes, peppers, onions, salsa and must be finished in one sitting and it's FREE.

Krispy Kreme dog- with bacon!

The one that I like is:I'm not fat,I'm fluffy.

::lol:

Anybody not from Rochester, NY, will probably think this is disgusting. Anybody from Rochester knows better.

I present to you, ladies and gentlemen, the signature dish of the Flower City ... the Garbage Plate.

o-GARBAGE-PLATE-facebook.jpg

The Garbage Plate is the creation of Nick Tahou Hots on East Main Street in the city. It consists of your choice of two of french fries, home fries, mac salad or baked beans; topped by two of your choice of hamburgers, cheeseburgers or hot dogs (plus some other variations that nobody ever gets); topped with a hot meat sauce that is Rochester's signature condiment, onions and spicy mustard. I generally get mine with cheeseburgers, home fries/mac and sans mustard. It is a wonderful combination of starch, grease and spice that goes down like a drunk prom date after a night of drinking. It is best slathered with a copious amount of Frank's Red Hot and ketchup.

Most restaurants in the area have their own version of the garbage plate, but the original is the best in town.
