This Is What Democratic Socialists In The US Will Bring Us:

Isn't the Republican attempts to remove healthcare insurance from 24 million Americans much better than Europe's method?

Oh wait.....

24 million Americans who didn't want it. It was forced on them. That's why there was a mandate.

Highest quality of life in the world are in countries in Europe.

Meanwhile, US has some pretty abhorrent statistics for such a rich, successful country

Highest quality of life for the peasants. I like not being a peasant. It's my American right.

I watched a show recently on Robin Hood. He may or may not have existed. It's very possible that "Robin Hood" was based on an actual person. If so, the person he was based on is highly likely to have been a thief who robbed from the rich and gave to himself and his friends, not the "poor". In these socialist countries we have often found that most everyone is more or less equal, while those in power grab most of the money for themselves.

What the right would have everyone believe is that socialism is bad. In a lot of cases, with the wrong people running the government, it is. As we are currently seeing in venezuela. But there are other countries in the world where democratic socialism is working very well but they are still dismissed with the broad tag of socialism is bad.

It isn't? Sure could have fooled me. European Union ~ EU Law

Not sure why you posted a link to the decision making procedures in the EU. I thought we were discussing England.

Now, back to England. It's a capitalist country. Like we are. Please do tell me how you believe England to be socialist. Because I can assure you, they don't know that they are.

No, we're discussing Europe. The first link that I provided is talking about the The Communications Act 2003, which is a law that is applied to the whole of the European Union.

The mandate, a KEY provision in the original Heritage Foundation blueprint, was to establish a risk pool of every man woman and child in the country, the largest risk pool possible, to control costs.
Everyone who understands how insurance works, understood this.

You don't understand how insurance works, or you don't want to participate in an insurance plan until the moment you need it, which means you don't understand how insurance works, or you reject the concept of insurance altogether.

That's what the fine was for, for CRACKPOTS. That was also part of the Heritage Foundation blueprint as well.

You and I weren't. Here's my post that was the first exchange between us, after you brought up London (which is in England):

England isn't a Socialist country.

You folks embarrassed yourselves then and you should be embarrassed now...

This "we're too big for that to work, they're all micro countries!" nonsense is ridiculously incorrect and unsupported by reality. You can not point to one single successful healthcare system run anything like what Republicans call for. It has nothing to do with size, this could be run at the state level if necessary, it's because the closed-minded idiots lost everywhere else but we still have you guys fighting.

The Republican health care plan is "don't get sick." There's a ton of ground to cover before you get to socialized healthcare.

I simply don't see how it could work here. It barely works in Canada. Personally, I think Obamacare was a step in the right direction, but it clearly didn't solve things completely. Fixes can and need to be made, but right now we've got one party saying "throw it all out" and another saying "let's socialize healthcare." It's freaking ridiculous.

When a Democratic socialist politician campaigns by saying, your healthcare is going to be "free" and your children will have free college education, don't believe it.
All of it will be subsidized through higher taxes, taken right out of your paycheck. You're going to be paying for it alright, and the more you make, the more they take.

Haven't you heard about the Special Utopian Forest Our Democrat Socialist Politicians have planned for us...Where money grows on trees!

We will all ride on our Special Unicorns thru the Forest and we will be able to gather all the money we need from those special Money Trees!

Plus, when it rains the trees are watered which replenishes all the money we pick from the trees!

After the rain, a Magnificent Rainbow appears in the sky! And here is the most Magnificent part of this Utopian Forest.

Strewn across an emerald green meadow under the Rainbow are colorful poppies and Pots of Gold.

Then we will all hear the Blue Birds of Happiness sing as they guide each and every one of us to our very own Pots of Gold!!!

Then all of our precious cargo will disappear before our eyes!

We will make necklaces of poppies put them around our necks and ride our Unicorns back home and find our precious cargo inside our homes.

And we will all live Happily Ever After in Our Utopian Cities!

The End.

You're so brainwashed that you just spam VENEZUELA over and over again. It's really sad.

I mean I don't see you guys posting about the disaster that is Australian healthcare... ever.

The post is about more than healthcare. But, you're so brainwashed by the left you didn't read past the first line. Sounds like you need some of that free education.

Miscommunication then? :) My mind was entirely thinking about Europe, not England.

Yes, a miscommunication, albeit unintentional

The post where you first raised this issue included a link from a British newspaper reporting about the number of people arrested in the UK under the law. There was no mention in the post or the article that this was an EU law, and not a UK one.

LOL. You guys believe that Democratic socialists are the right people running the government. Go back to post #1.

That doesn't have anything to do with what we were talking about. The 24 million who no longer have health insurance are because they are no longer mandated to do so. In other words, they are Americans, not the victims of Democratic Socialism.

Bring on free healthcare for everyone. Bring on free education for everyone.

Wow, you're really clueless when it comes to what it's like to live in a more socialist country, aren't you?

I live in Canada, and it's a far far better place to live than the USA. We have more freedom, better healthcare, better education, less hatred, less racism, more caring, more equality.

Nothing is free, but we all share in the cost. And apparently unlike you, I'm more than happy if we all Canadians, including me, chip in so that everyone has a good education and good healthcare.

Maybe it's because we aren't nearly as religious that we're more willing to help our neighbours, and not so filled with hate and fear as Americans? What do you think?

Let's see you back that claim up.

Let's try this simple thought exercise.
If you want to trot out your own "reverse gotcha!" from the Left please feel free to do so.
In a 2002 interview Ann Coulter had this to say, and I wonder if anyone here believes that this could be construed as advocating for terrorist acts.

Yeah, I've lived in Europe where healthcare and education is subsidized, and it's quiet lovely and encouraging that you can see that the community is supporting the elderly and investing in their kids' future ... err, I mean 'hellish landscape' filled with progressive marxist socialist communists (ghoulish screaming).

The United States is subsidizing their national security for them, so that makes it easy to pour money into their healthcare systems for their what? 5 million citizens?

She immediately recanted, too. But nevermind that. Right?

No one can hear you. You are dead. You were killed in 2009, after 3 days of clinging to the fence in Obama's FEMA death camp. They ran out of those caskets Alex Jones showed you, so you were pitched over the Mexican border. Your carcass was used by Fast & Furious, but they sold it to a drug lord who stuffed you with brown heroin and sent you to your mother's house. Best smack she ever did.

Considering EVERY universal healthcare system in the world, literally dozens and dozens of countries, is dramatically cheaper than our system, how can you defend saying we should pay more and more to get less and less? There is no example on earth of a healthcare system like the Republicans want that isn't a third-world ****hole. Not one.

Everyone pays taxes in those countries, too. Try telling someone that gets an $8,000 refund every year that they get free healthcare but will no longer get their big ass refund. See what happens.

Most of them are on much smaller scale than would be required for this country. European countries have much smaller populations.

Important point, but we have Medicare, Medicaid and the VA, insuring 100 million, I believe. I would imagine US national health care would best be administered regionally, but "going last," as it were, we could take advantage of that reality by learning from mistakes and experience other developed countries have had.

Why would I care if I pay for health insurance through my salary or through my taxes taken out of my salary. You could make the same argument about any part of government spending.
