Except of course that I linked to an article that shows differently.
Wrong

The law you referred to does not make simply saying something offensive on Facebook or Twitter a crime
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/21/section/127
127Improper use of public electronic communications network
(1)A person is guilty of an offence if he—
(a)sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character; or
(b)causes any such message or matter to be so sent.
And the UK is not a socialist nation

Bring on free healthcare for everyone. Bring on free education for everyone. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. Have the government take over and dictate to large employers. It's called a Utopian society and this is what a Utopian society looks like:

Not the Utopia I envision.
Dictate to large employers. You mean like telling the NFL to suspend players who kneel? Or you mean like accusing Amazon of scamming the post office? Or maybe you mean telling employers where they should set up their factories?

If that was all that it was then you might have a point. Except that its not.
If you're implying that enforcement is imperfect or sometimes misguided, overzealous or even just simply prone to occasional mistakes, then surely you're aware that happens everywhere.

The world will never run out of teachable moments in that regard.

Yeah, I've lived in Europe where healthcare and education is subsidized, and it's quiet lovely and encouraging that you can see that the community is supporting the elderly and investing in their kids' future ... err, I mean 'hellish landscape' filled with progressive marxist socialist communists (ghoulish screaming).
The OP os from Kentucky, about as backwards a place as there is in teh USA. I am sure he has no idea of what utopia is.

And who determines "grossly offensive"? Indecent? Obscene? Menacing I can understand as it is like our own laws to a degree. But the others? Entirely subjective and would NEVER be allowed here in the US so long as we hold to our ideals of Freedom of Speech.

Misguided? Certainly. Overzealous? Again, most certainly. "Mistake"? Doing the same thing over and over is not a "mistake".

Before we go any further, have you given up arguing that simply saying something offensive is a crime in the UK because you now realize that you were wrong?

Or do you plan on dishonestly changing the subject every time you are proven wrong, and hope that no one notices?

Or are you foolishly clinging to your claim that simply saying something offensive on Twitter or Facebook is a crime in the UK, even though the text of the law clearly contradicts your argument?

I am currently checking on a point of one of our rules. Give me a bit of time and I may be able to provide an example.

I get tired of right wing thinkers constantly shrilly shouting socialism and we will be Venezuela! In America government does not own the means of production nor will it ever. We are much too independent to ever allow it. We already have Capitalism and free enterprise coupled with social programs. That's all it is and all it will ever be. The mood in America has changed. The rich will always be rich, just not as rich as they have been allowed to be decade after decade.

When a Democratic socialist politician campaigns by saying, your healthcare is going to be "free" and your children will have free college education, don't believe it.
All of it will be subsidized through higher taxes, taken right out of your paycheck. You're going to be paying for it alright, and the more you make, the more they take.

Here is a privately owned website, not a government that arrests people.
Yep, a world of difference between a private organization and the gov.

The UK also bans people from entering their country if they don't like their political speech.
Whatever happened to agreeing to disagree, and I'll defend your right to say it even if I vehemently disagree?

Those systems cover everyone, provide the same quality of care as the US (often better in some respects), lower infant mortality. Sounds like a good deal to me.

And not just me. 76% of registered voters in the US support the idea that the wealthy should pay more in taxes. "Medicare For All" is posting at 60%. Both of these figures are landslides.

I might add, private insurance does nearly the same thing -- it takes money from all the ratepayers, pools it, and distributes some of that pooled money to the sick -- except it is less efficient, more expensive, occasionally tries to screw sick people by refusing to cover conditions, and only profitable for a tiny handful of people.

You're so brainwashed that you just spam VENEZUELA over and over again. It's really sad.

I mean I don't see you guys posting about the disaster that is Australian healthcare... ever.

And people are arrested for simply saying something that someone finds offensive on Facebook or Twitter.

Arrests for offensive Facebook and Twitter posts soar in London
Thanks for sharing! That's pretty scary to read about. Thank God for the First Amendment! I wonder who determines what is offensive?

"The Communications Act 2003 defines illegal communication as “using public electronic communications network in order to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety”. Breaking the law carries a six-month prison term or fine of up to £5,000."

Getting arrested for threatening to blow up an airport, or kill refugees, or slaughter a group of people?
Works for me. Sounds like they're a bit ahead of us.

None work worth a crap, and none service a nation of our size.
The whole of Europe is bigger than the US.

And why show us Venezuela, and not, for example, this (downtown Amsterdam) as an example of the evils of social democracy?

Steal from the rich and give to the poor the poster states. So let me ask, who doesn't like Robin Hood? The right is so conditioned in their responses they don't realize they are defending the rich stealing from the poor and have been for decades. I also notice they don't use any of the countries that have much better health care for all in their utopian rants. Government bad, taxes bad, choice bad. The powers that be in the GOP have done a fantastic job of convincing their base to vote against their own best interests for years. Stupid is as stupid does.
I watched a show recently on Robin Hood. He may or may not have existed. It's very possible that "Robin Hood" was based on an actual person. If so, the person he was based on is highly likely to have been a thief who robbed from the rich and gave to himself and his friends, not the "poor". In these socialist countries we have often found that most everyone is more or less equal, while those in power grab most of the money for themselves.
