This gets my vote for best political ad of the year.

Do better based on what? Wishes? Only 16% of the voters in the district are registered as republicans...
Luckily for Mfume, Biden killed the me too movement. If she gets 40% that would be a sizable increase.

I can't remember ever seeing a better, more effective political ad than this one... It's an ad from Maryland congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik, who's running to fill Elijah Cummings' 7th District seat in Balitimore.

If every Republican candidate running for office in a major city ran ads like this, the political landscape would start shifting in democrat controlled cities like Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Philly, New York, etc...

Check this out:

If you want to learn more about this woman, she did an interview tonight on the Ingraham Angle:

I'd vote for her. :)

Misinformation:

"the people that run Baltimore don't care"
"the Democrats have betrayed the people of Baltimore"
"If the politicians walked the streets like I do" (I know for a fact that Elijah Cummings has walked the streets like she is doing)
"Defund the police is not something the Democrats are calling for" (DeSousa, the previous police commissioner was the one calling for that).
"The worst place to live in America for a Black person is in a Democrat controlled city"
"Democrats think Black People are stupid" That is total misinformation because the Democrat Party (60% of the people in the party are non-white. Many leaders of the party are Black

All of those statements in her video are misinformation.

Those are opinions, not misinformation.

Everything I listed, which were the facts that she presented, were accurate and the basis for her opinions.

I did criticize a Democrat policy, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to sell the GOP. :)

It's an incredibly complicated problem that I think will require efforts by both sides (government and individuals). More opportunities and more desire to capitalize on them. Less prejudice when hiring black Americans, and less prejudice among themselves for trying to get out. End the drug war and mass incarceration. Build trade skill schools that are subsidized so attendees can be paid to learn a bread winning skill. The list goes on, but things like that would be a good start.

You make some excellent points. Sad thing is, both parties don't really care much about changing things for the American people, but between the two? At least in my opinion some Dem policies benefit the working class. The GOP very clearly only gives a damn about their wealthy donors, and they aren't shy about admitting it.

If republicans ran the blue cities, they would ignore the poor.
Dems already do that.

At most republicans would give the poor some advice like, "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps."
And then show them how to do it. All the Dems ever do is give then the address of the welfare office.

She makes it look as if all of Baltimore looks like this Such a dishonest add
She's walking through the district she's running for. How is that dishonest.

Think she will get 30% of the vote in November?

I can see where certain people outside her district might find this appealing but she needs to convince voters in HER district unless her campaign is just producing conservative porn.
And you, in Texas, know better than she does what that district needs?

How hard is to see what her chances are of winning this election?

That is a very small portion of that district. Very dishonest

You expect her to walk every street in the district? You'd gush orgasmically if a Dem put up something this good.

How hard is to see what her chances are of winning this election?
How hard is to grasp we're talking about the quality of the ad?

You've blather a couple of things but I haven't seen any hard data.

I'm not going to do your homework... If you are unaware of the demographics and voting history of MD 7, that's on you....

Why is it my homework to prove your point?

Nice performance. She isn’t the first who has done that

Anyone notice the cult-like response from the lefties on this thread. Like they were singing harmony.

The video now has 8.8 million views on Twitter, and another 204,000 on YouTube.

Ms. Klacik hit a home-run with this ad.

Gosh 8.8 million views on twitter compared to 16,465 votes in the April special election... Conservatives do love their porn...

What's a disgrace is the condition Baltimore is in after 53 years of democratic control.

.
Then she is simply pointing out what should be obvious to the people in baltimore.. Why do they need her telling them what they already know?

It's a local election, not a national one, so did you ever consider that she has run other ads in Baltimore, that she's made many speeches, and done many interviews on TV, radio, and in the print media where she just might have talked about her her policy positions and actions she wants to take?

That was a powerful ad period. It was a devastating indictment of the democratic party who have controlled that city for more than half a century.
I really do hope she has. But i was commenting on how this particular add stacks up as a political add. She was wasting everyone' s time with the stating the obvious and not providing solutions.

Democrats have been in charge in these cities for decades. What have they done?

My argument here is not with the politics but in the presentation of a political add. It gave no worthwhile information that would persuade anyone to vote for her. And i would expect the same standard in any democratic political add.

What was it about that add that you liked? Because all i saw was someone complaining.
