The Deputy Foreign Minister, Batu Kutelia, who had earlier been known as a head of Georgian Intelligence Service, was appointed as new Deputy Defense Minister. As it is officially reported by Georgian Ministry of Defense, he is to coordinate the work of its department of international relations and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia. In other words, he should provide intensification of dialogue with NATO, concerning our quickest entry into this organization.
So what’s wrong with it? Nothing but only because neither of members of the North-Atlantic Alliance imagines that during his work in intelligence service Kutelia has minded such interesting business as gathering of information, discredited those NATO’s officials and generals who raised objections to Georgian entry into the Northern Alliance. Well, now these materials become the best support for Kutelia’s new job!
How do I know it? I have given up this information at first hand. But certainly I can’t name my pipeline. I tell you more. Most of those compromising materials were given to Kutelia through US intelligence channels.
