There were no military parades for the 100th or 200th year anniversaries of the US, but there is one for the 250th. Why?

Timid politicians who let America get walked over.

Which is what Trump is doing.

Trump’s critics call him brash, but that’s the point—greatness isn’t won with handshakes and platitudes. It’s won in the dirt, with grit and guts.

And he has no guts. At least when it comes to his Moscow mancrush.

Trump’s street-fighter style—unapologetic, unrelenting, unafraid—isn’t just necessary; it’s the only way to rebuild a nation that’s been knocked down too long.
In Trump's case, he's not rebuilding the nation...he's gutting it. And kicking it while it's down.

He’s the guy in the ring for America, and he’s not stopping until the job’s done.

He's a hair close to quitting at getting peace in Ukraine....something he swore up and down he'd get done on day 1.

So...the Bicentennial was "woke"...

Because it's Trump's birthday!

Please pay attention

Got those links yet?

How would you do a celebration of the Army's 250 birthday?
I would definitely make soldiers work during the celebration. Maybe, parade them around in the hot sun.

The complaints and crybabies... blah, blah, blah. It's from the same crowd that’s been softening America’s spine for decades. A military parade on this historic day isn’t just fitting, it's a call to remember what makes America FIERCE.
Excuse me, but you sound like a Ya-hoo out at high tide...

Went back for seconds, didja?

I cannot wrap my head around how pathetic and insecure one must be to think a military parade shows how "fierce" they are.

Next thing you know, Trump is going to start demanding medals to wear to public events, and you'll be right there cheering him on.

I think Trump’s military parade is a stupid, wasteful idea, but in fairness, he got the idea from a military parade that he witnessed during a visit to France. So if you’re going to call Trump a Fascist, a Nazi, or a Communist for holding such a parade, then you have to say the same about our French allies.

Are you saying that Trump planned the 250th Army anniversary parade?
It has been planned for two years.

Sure- all due to pressure from Trump. Gotta hand it to him: when he wants something, he is relentless. From your link:

"Trump had advocated for a military parade on Veteran's Day in 2018, but was opposed by the Pentagon stating it wanted to keep the military out of politics. The desire came after Trump saw France's Bastille Day celebrations in 2017. Defense secretary Jim Mattis reportedly told Trump he would "rather swallow acid" than have the parade, with Gen. Paul J. Selva saying that military parades were "what dictators do". Trump again brought up the idea for a parade again in 2020 with Mattis' successor, Mark T. Esper, who came up with an "air parade" to coincide on July 4.

In 2025, Trump again ordered a military parade from the Pentagon which The New York Times described its quick acceptance as a result of a more acquiescent Pentagon without the guardrails present in his first term."

Carter was elected in November 1996, months after the July 4 celebration. He was inaugurated in January 1977. It was Gerald Ford who presided over the 200th anniversary celebration.

Well yea. The Democrats hate president Trump.

Same same. I stand corrected though.
