There is a story here in Sweden right now that almost makes me into believer.

A man rapes a woman and then he throws her into an old pit (25 meters deep) in the middle of the forest, literally in the middle of nowhere. Since it is neither hunting, berry nor mushroom season it probably is (at the most) one person walking anywhere in that wood every month or so.

She survives the fall, probably due to loose snow at the bottom and then a father decides to take his kids for a walk in that very wood and walks close to that very hole (maybe to show his kids how invisible those holes are, I don’t know) and they think they hear a weak cry from inside so they call the police and she is rescued. They had to winch her out from a helicopter.

The man that raped her and throw her down the pit is now arrested.

This is the only thing in English I can find about it

I mean, go figure...

Thanks for sharing. She is one lucky woman.

I know you said "almost a believer", but if god existed he could've just prevented the rape in the first place, and for every seemingly miraculous story like this, there are a dozen more incidences where they didn't make it.

In the end, either god doesn't exist or he's simply rolling dice to sees who lives and dies.

Well, I don't believe there is a god but you have to acknowledge the many circumstances that worked together here....
