(CNN)Hours after a prosecutor announced involuntary manslaughter charges against the parents of Ethan Crumbley, the 15-year-old accused of killing four fellow students at a Michigan high school, authorities said the parents are missing. But in another twist, two attorneys who say they are representing the couple released a statement, which said the Crumbleys had left town for their safety and are returning for an arraignment.
"On Thursday night we contacted the Oakland County prosecutor to discuss this matter and to advise her that James and Jennifer Crumbley would be turning themselves in to be arraigned," the statement from attorneys Shannon Smith and Mariell Lehman said. "Instead of communicating with us, the prosecutor held a press conference to announce charges." The statement added: "They are not fleeing from law enforcement despite recent comments in media reports."

A law enforcement official told CNN the parents withdrew $4,000 from an ATM in Rochester Hills, Michigan, on Friday. Rochester Hills is about 10 to 15 miles from Oxford. Law enforcement had been able to track the couple's whereabouts by cell phone pings but can no longer do so as the couple's cell phones are turned off, the official said.

Good luck trying to hide, You have no friends.

These parents are trash, I hope they're taken in and arrested at this point. There were so many red flags with this kid and the parents not only did nothing , but encouraged the killings. When will the authorities start to pay attention to these mass murders, social media chatter and other signs and nobody steps in and stops the killings. Rest in peace to the kids who lost their lives, sympathy to their shocked and mourning families. Some happy holiday.

and we're relying on THESE people to keep their kid in line/report when he has problems?????????????????
Those scum should not breed, American trash.

I hope the cops in Michigan arent as dumb as the ones in Florida and have those two in their sights, ready to arrest them should they attempt to flee.

Maybe we'll get lucky and these two pieces of right-wing garbage will take themselves OUT...

Tell us what you'd do to them if you got your hands on them.

remember. it's the school's fault.

not these two parents.

Tell us what you'd do to them if you got your hands on them.
What do you say we let the parents of the kids that were slaughtered to have a go at that?

Have they found Kyle Rittenhouse's parents yet?

A couple things I read...

1) The gun was his Christmas present
2) He boasted about it on social media
3) The mom posted on FB mom/son day at shooting range
4) she texted him "Don't do it" at the moment he started shooting

Add that to what's known about the school incident, parent meeting, and the shooting right after, it's going to be difficult not to interpret all of those behaviors and timelines as red flags and obvious failures in taking responsibility.

It would seem obvious they don't given the fact it's now several hours from when the charges were filed and they're nowhere to be found.

if their kid slaughtered your kid would you let the law take care of it?

That would be the height of injustice. This couple needs to be dragged through the criminal justice process. They need to be tried, convicted and sentenced and then forever held up to the hatred, scorn and obloquy of their peers.

Welp, now the Cons are concerned about "red flags".

Next thing you know they will be wanting officials to keep "lists".

Seems like only yesterday they were fighting "red flags" and "lists".

No doubt there are deplorables "out there" who would help hide these two.

Probably the same type who will claim the government is responsible.

They should be in the same ****ing cell.
Rittenhouse, and your hatred of him, is not relevant to this thread. Nothing he or his mother did justify either being in jail. As to this current case, there seems to be strong evidence that the two parents should be criminally charged
