I watched the video. I saw something in it that is very common to see here on these forums, and I don't think it has anything to do with attitudes of black people.
It was during that little get together between the two conservative women and the group of people who don't like Trump.
1. The two conservative women seemed to be concerned with "what Trump is doing" and they support what he is doing.
2. The others, especially that fellow with all the hair, seemed to be concerned more with "what Trump is saying" and they dislike Trump for that.
This is right in line with most of the people here on DP. You have those who are obsessed with what Trump is saying (or with what the media tells them he's saying) and those who are concerned with what Trump is actually doing and how it affects our country, our economy and people's lives.
I thought this video was well worth the 30 minutes to watch. You don't see many in the media make any attempt at considering black conservatives view points. More often than not you'll see a lot of the media condemn and make fun of them whenever they're brought up. And although the reporter in this did give his own views he also didn't let it interfere with what the story was about. Something you don't see too often anymore.
Exactly...doing. He's not a polished politician just a shrewd businessman. People who don't see that are making a common mistake.
He is and always has been a con man. He is doing nothing but enriching himself, his family and his so called friends.

You mean he's helping take away the chains that bind our economy. Socialism doesn't work.
Good video.
As a Black American myself I find what these young people are saying resonates with my experience.
I joined this Forum 5.5 years ago, and I intentionally refused to reveal my race during discussions about race-related issues. This because I wanted to be judged on the content of my posts (i.e. my "character") as opposed to the color of my skin (i.e. claiming special consideration).
I held to that for the most part until shortly after the 2016 election period when my defense of Trump's statements and policies ended up with accusations I was expressing my "White privilege." (Like David Webb per Areva Martin.)
Then I found that after revealing it to counter this smear I was faced with assertions from some Forum members that I was either a "race traitor," or a "White supremacist" in sheep's clothing (2 of the only 3 people I have ever placed on ignore).
It really is hard for some people to believe that there are independent minded Black Americans. IMO this is due in great part to the narrative over the last 50 years that we are all victim's of never-ending racism, perpetually child-like and innocent who must be taken care of by those who know what is best for us.
Small wonder many of us are breaking away from the Democratic plantation.

What chains?
Face it, Donald Trump is an utter failure. His big tax cut is failing big time. Banks and big business have not invested anything as many studies have shown. The money that was suppose to flood into the US.. was barely a trickle.
What I see, is American Conservatives.. black or white or yellow or green... live in a fantasy universe like most black conservatives.
Can you name any "chains on the economy" that have been removed and can be proven to have benefited the economy?
Good video.

Why is it more black folks aren't catching this wave? What is being discussed here sounds like folks are trying to take the five percent of blacks who support trump into the majority of black folks. Just take a look at the congress members of the GOP, how many black folks do you see? It's like when trump claims the lowest unemployment numbers in history for blacks and hispanics. As if anything the republican party did was the cause. Let's face it, the GOP is nine tenths for white folks, it's why a border wall is absolutely necessary for the right.

Don't think you watched the video? The reporter made it clear that black conservatism is still a small group compared to those that vote democrat. But he also showed that it IS growing as more and more blacks get disillusioned with the democratic party.
And approval of Trump among blacks is actually increasing as shown in polls. And its higher than 5%.

Lemme help you out here, just real quick: The vast majority of what Trump says AND does is garbage. Because Trump is garbage. The end.
Hoo kay...you might not like me after this next comment...however Play It Safe Tuesday isn't until tomorrow, so here it goes... Given the clear implications of racial disparity statistics, is the take away here that a black conservative is no more interested in fixing those disparity statistics than a white conservative?
Unless everyone is honest........which they are not.......capitalism doesn't work either. It needs regulations.
You mean you openly admit you don't know what socialism is. We don't have a socialist economy or an economny 'chained' by socialism.
You're most welcome.
Small businesses are hiring, and banks are lending to developers and other businesses.
The same ones that slammed shut like a oyster under Obama's bailouts.
I would like to ask all of you respectfully to not make this thread about Trump specifically. The thread was made to highlight black conservatism, not talk about Trump of which there are hundreds of other threads about. So please, lets keep the focus on black conservatism.
I don’t know why it is surprising that some black people support Trump.
You’d have to have waded neck deep through CEC-generated, racially coded nonsense for decades in order to be surprised that some black people support Trump.
That's ok with me. I wouldn't mind if the GOP changed their ways enough to attract fifty percent of the black and/or the minority vote. It would be good for america all around.
Do you know if that first woman depicted in the video is Candace Owens?
