The writer of Genesis 1:29 ignored there are plants that can't be eaten

Any decent translation refers to the original Hebrew and Greek, unlike the KVJ...
The first translation happened in Alexandria where the Jewish texts were translated from Hebrew into Greek so they could be included in the library. It was called the Septuagint because there were 70 translators. Anyone who insists on trivialities like poisonous seeds is being way too literal about a text that has passed across numerous translators desks.

More to the point; the intended audience would have known quite clearly what the writers intended to say which has to do with Elohim's care for the hungry.
