Nonetheless, I still strongly believe Biden will win, especially now with Kamala Harris as his running mate. All you have are the dumb white males voting for Trump. Most of the women, all the Black women, the young people and those men with brains will be voting for Trump and your ass will be toast because there are a lot more of them that you and Trump's shrinking base. Yes, I said shrinking, given that support among Trump supporters has dropped from 85% to 78% in the last 6 months and Trump could not afford to lose even 1% because he won 2016 by less than that.

There is a reasonably good chance that by the time the Joe Biden or Donald Trump is inaugurated in January there will be a reliable vaccine against the Corona virus. That will solve a lot of problems for whoever wins the election.

Maybe. But this crisis has exposed Trump’s ignorance and incompetence. People are beginning to realize that running a country is not the same thing as running a business or a reality TV show. It has shown that competence, experience on the job, and respect for science, expertise, and reality makes a difference. It has shown that it’s not all just about public perception, propaganda, demagoguery, and marketing. Maybe, just maybe, enough Americans have gotten that message to get Trump out of office by November.

Because this was just another crisis. There will be others: maybe an intractable post-virus recession, Climate change effects starting to really kick in (if you thought the consequences of this “coronavirus is no big deal and is just a democratic hoax” were bad, wait until the effects of “climate change is just a Chinese hoax” begins to kick in), Iran, Russia, China, the consequences of isolationism and the alienation of our European allies, healthcare, etc, etc... And even crises that we can’t even begin to foresee right now. Running a big, modern, complex, diverse, globally interdependent nation like the United States is tough work. Who knew it could be so complicated, and that you can’t just fix everything by cussing on Fox News and putting out stupid tweets?

A second Trump term would be catastrophic, America.

Your post is based on a false premise to start with. The odds I mentioned are not MY odds but the ones in Las Vegas where people have put their own money on. What I stated CLEARLY is that I don't bet on big favorites. I never stated that I didn't believe the odds. I also stated that I feel strongly confident that Trump will lose but I am not willing to stupidly put my own stay here (as you have done), given that the election is not something I have any control over.
