I'll tell you what the U.S. can do.
First off, take interest in other country's history and world economy, teach that to your idiotic people.

The world calls us idiots and then when they need our help they are the first one's to grovel, yup, feels real good to be stupid, let me tell you. Maybe if we are so stupid, then we should just act like we aren't smart enough to bail other people out of a jam, and let things like world wars, genocides, famines sort themselves out.

Second, teach them to do physical exercise, your country is partly hated because you go around talking about how good your country is, and yet many Americans are obese.

That is a silly thing to hate someone over, you'll have to do MUCH better than that.

What you can also do, is stay out of world policies, don't send any troops to 3rd World Countries

So, you want us to learn about the rest of the world's business, then, when we see our help is needed by the 85% of the world with no chance, you just want to let those people suffer? That's not very communistic of you.

and don't laugh at other countries on your " comedy " stations, I garantee America will be more loved.

Other countries insult us by telling our countrymen how they should live, and you don't expect a backlash, yeah, wait for that to happen.

P.S. Electing decent looking Presidents wouldn't hurt either.

So no one can make generalizations about other countries, but you can judge the US partially from a trip to Best Buy. You're right, I don't understand. But, I guess that's to be expected, seeing as I'm a stupid American.

Maybe YOU should have a little more knowledge before you make sweeping generalizations about the US. Perhaps someday you will decide to start educating yourself and stop stereotyping others.

Providing people with a liveable wage for a 35 hour week is an enormous social advance. Working parents have time for their kids. Citizens have time for sport, the arts, cultural activities, all of the things that in combination with working life provide balance. You United Statesians wouldn't understand that there are more ways of measuring a society's success than good figures on Wall Street. What's the point living in the world's largest economy if you have to work two jobs to make a decent living, and you fear unemployment because you'll lose all your health care and the state benefits wouldn't feed the cat?

That's incorrect. The Euro is a strong currency, remarkabkly successful for such a new one. At it's introduction it had parity with your dollar. It's now worth significantly more.

Untrue. You're talking about a continent where some countries have unemployment a few percentage points higher than the US, and some lower. So no, the majority of the active population does have jobs.

Well hell yes it's easy to do all those things when you're unemployed. .

And when you're employed too, but not in the US where you may have to work two jobs to scrape a living, where your holidays virtually don't exist etc.

You work longer hours because you're slaves to capitalism, you get hardly any time to play, and your standard of living is greatly offset by your lack of health and social coverage. Any extra income you can't enjoy since it has to go your health care and pensions.

I work for a brokerage, and my section focuses in Eurodollar contracts, and we work fairly closely with the currency exchange. Ever since about a week before France voted no on the EU constitution the Euro's been plummeting, dropping about 9 or 10 cents since then against the dollar, which is also extremely weak, just for different reasons. For the last week they have both been dropping pretty consistantly in terms of other currencies, while exchanging at fairly consistant rates against each other. With the dollar our decline is based on trade deficits and budget deficits that make creditors view there to be increased likelyhood that the US will default on our debt, based on how it becomes more and more unlikely that we will be able to pay it off. .

It dropped about 10 eurocents around the time of the referenda, and is slowly recovering. Even at that low point, it is still worth considerably more than at the time of its introduction, when it was literally dollar for euro. The US dreams of regaining that exchange rate. "Plumetting" is dramatically incorrect.
