As for you asking me a question about the United States? I haven't yet gotten one![/QUOTE

You just don't seem to have a good reason to hate us. Maybe its because we are better than you I don't know.

What about that robot russian in Rocky IV. He took steroids.

For people that "hate" America so much, they sure do do copy our culture enough.

Why shouldn't we be when ass wholes like you want to hate us. Of course if your really that upset about us winning the cold war which is what I think(I could be wrong but for some reason I get the feeling). Sometimes the only thing left after helping and trying to be nice is to be ass wholes ourselves. Hell, we even do that better. I like being arrogant. I makes me want to laugh at those who hate us. Laughing because we are just plain better. Thats arrogance. Try Gordon Sinclair

Isolationalism........This was America before WWI. Troubles in Europe begged our assistance. We deployed and lost 116 thousand troops as a result.

Back into isolationalism......This was America before WWII. Troubles in Europe begged our assistance, while defending our own west coast without support from anyone in Europe. We deployed and lost 405 thousand troops as a result.

Obviously, isolationalism resulted in too many American deaths and world wars, because we had no presence in the world to deter aggression. I wonder if we went into isolationalism after WWII if we would have had to again deploy for Europes sake at the cost of more of our troops death to fight WWIII. Maybe this is why we have a presence in the world. Without us nobody would deter anything and we would constantly be running to everyone's aid. More so than we do now. Any self-serving benefits that come with it just adds to our security and is used as a soap box for rival political parties and the jealousy of other nations. I would prefer to keep our military within our borders, strengthen our economy, and never have to help any of you. However, that's not the way this world is. This world is infested by the selfish who already stay within their borders. They do this, because they know that America will always be the ones to lead the charge against aggression for them. It must suck to know that if your country was ever attacked, America is who you would call, after all, it's the way it has always been. In the mean time....feel free to bash us.

By the way, Afghanistan and Iraq are the first countries we have ever attacked for our personal defense since Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. All three times we have had to go to war to defend our way of life......and the bare minimum has been there to help us.

:2usflag: This is why we are arrogant.

I hate America, but not as in trying to kill all people who have at least one gradparent who's anj American, I mean Capitalist America, it's horrible, will you people never learn that your nation is controlled.

Think about this:

Only 24 million of 190 million egible voters casted their ballots in the last U.S. election, why?

There are not enough polling stations, and the Capitalist Government knows that only hard ass Capitalist American patriots will wake up bright an early to get in line. Normal people don't waste 3 hours in a line to cast a ballot. The Republicans and Democrats know this, and they keep it this way, in truth, most of Americans disagree with Capitalism and would rather have a Socialist goverment. So in reality, most U.S. citizens hate the America they live in, so just think how the rest of the world thinks.

People don't vote because they don't give a ****, plain and simple. I have NEVER had to wait in line to vote. My husband did not vote, not because he didn't want to wait in line, but because he didn't feel like going out on his day off. And no, it was not because he has a secret burning desire for a socialist government.

I really would like to see some actual evidence that Americans would prefer a Socialist system. Personally I think that the government ****s things up enough as it is, and really don't see how giving them even more control than they already have will fix things.

Plus, Socialism costs money, something that the government takes enough of as it is thank you.

That is the stereotype, but honestly, I believe you are talking about the brash nature of some of our leaders, correct?

For the folks that want to hate America, find out how much we do for the world. This doesn’t account for the personal donations from fund raising and organizations such as the Red Cross, the Peace Corp, American Way or thousands of other groups who give humanitarian aid. The total gift of goods and services that Americans give to those less fortunate than us is in the hundreds of billions every single year. Volunteers provide services free of charge to the most remote areas of the world. I would be ashamed to publicly voice hatred for a country that does so much for so many.

For those of you Americans that are not happy with our government because it's screwed up, you fail to really realize a few things.

We are the freeist, most prosperous country in existence. We have freedoms that push the edge of decency that are protected. We have the right to bear arms with concealed weapon's permits. We can cross borders from one coast to the other. We are free to experience any career we put our minds to, because everyone has the same opportunities. Everyone is equal under the law. Our women vote and hold careers that women in other countries couldn't even dream about holding. Our women can serve in the military and contribute. The world is full of people that have migrated here and still migrate here for the opportunity of a better life. Our government protects us with from foreign aggression and internal securities. We have the opportunity to choose our President every four years without fear of ever having a dictator because of a mandated max term of eight.

For a country so free, how can any government be able to hold it all together and do it perfectly? Because of our lifestyle, some people should be a little more forgiving when their government "screws up". What some of you do is criticize to the extremes of bashing and claim that is your right. What you are really doing is abusing your rights, not exercising them. In some countries, the things that some of you people say would be considered as treason, but not here....because you are Americans and sometimes people tend to forget that.

I don't think the world hates america, just the current policies that america has undertaken since 9/11. Reagon got America in less wars than Clinton.

I've visited the US, and they are the most heart warming people I have met in this crazy world. They are heart warming, hospitalble, and yes louder and more euthastic than us Europeans. Although I have to admit they are naive in many ways.

But I love Americans, because they portray innocence that Europeans can ill afford to potray. A more black and white world than we can portray in Europe. An innocence of the world that we Europeans have long forgotten.

Look, it's clear that the Americans on this forum are a home grown Capitalist American product. You were all taught in American schools and grown up by your American parents to believe that the United States of America is the greatest country in the world. Obviously all these facts you throw at me are from American Sites are they not? Believe me, the only reliable facts are found from sources in Britain, they did not favour the U.S. or the U.S.S.R in the Cold War, they were always concerned with matters inside their own Nation. I will never be able to convince you that the United States as it is now is a horrible place, the media clearly controls everything and the government controls the media. People are blind that the United States is crumbling from the inside with their enormous debt and their international attocities. When you are born and raised in a country and brought up by parents loyal to that country, you will forever live as a product of that country, freedom of speech is only a false security that you can say and do whatever you want without consecuence. It is untrue. Everyone is sueing everyone else, for the largest illegal acts to " who gives a f*ck " illegal acts that everyone breaks the law on anyway. My point is that whatever country you come from, you will inside always be a patriot of that country, you can believe what your country programs you to believe, and that my American friends will never change, you can never say that the United States is the greatest nation on earth, neither can I say that Russia is the greatest nation on earth, or an Austrian about Austria or an Australian about Australia.

P.S. That Rocky IV comment was idiotic, that was an American movie. Produced by UA productions, United Artist, an American producer, and that was made in 1984 when Americans made movies to show how great they were and Soviets made movies to show how great they were, it's all irrelevant.

So, let me get this straight--you talk about how horrific we are, others try to engage you in debate, and you respond with--oh, you were born in America and therefore cannot discuss the topic intelligently.

If more Americans want Socialism than not, and American stats are SO unreliable, then site the British stats for such a comment. I suspect, however that that will never happen.

Remind me, who's educational system system failed again?

You are judging that by what a biased media is telling you. We don't know and shouldn't know all the details and information the Governments have against our enemies. I give America and our leaders my support because I know the history of our country. We are not imperialistic no matter how many times the left says we are. We do not go to war on a whim, for oil, or revenge. I am ashamed of my fellow Americans who would disgrace our country by associating us with the likes of Hitler or Stalin. I am extremely proud that we have young men and women who love this great country enough to fight for her honor. We can stand tall in the world and know we have helped make it a better place. America has no apologies she needs to make.

The US is the only superpower in the world since your friends checked out. its not that I'm saying the US is the greatest nation on earth, it simply is.(of course I'm just an arrogant, brainwashed, American version of the samurai, gung-ho, patriot)

PS
if there is a God thank you for making me American and not Canadian.

Not the Soviet Union's, the Soviets produced one of the most intelligent minds of its time, look up the Noble Prize winners.

I will find you British facts on American economy and world achievements tommorow as it's 12 here and I'm watching Basketball.

As for the one who said they thank god for being born American. Are you sure you're thanking God and not Satan for being born American? I believe that God shunned America a long time ago.

Oh yeah he shunned us when he made us the best or when we won the cold war or are you talking about that so called prime minister of canada who said we deserved 9/11.

No Prime Minister said that 9/11 was good. As for the Cold War, the United States will economically pay the price of that victory within the next few decades.

America is you look at it, is one of the most Satanic countries in the world, how many people you know that go to church every week? How many you know that do not swear with either Jesus' or God's name? There we go, it's just like saying that the Roman Empire was still held up by God, it wasn't, it lasted and was the greatest, but quesse what? It died out.

who said anything about rome not me.
as for the satin crap how many canadians go to church every week how many do not swear with either jesus's or god's name. And rome wasn't held up by god it was held up by expansion until it could no more.

For a kid that was "born in Russia in 1987", but now resides in Canada spewing an "over acted" impression of a want a be Communist.....you seem to think you can define and label 275 million people in America in just a few sentences. You can be smarter than that.

...and by the way, Rocky IV was real. Rocky kicked Russia's ass.

GarzaUK.....there is a lot of wisdom in what you said. The American average civillian is naive. Many of them do not realize what the rest of the world is. This is why there is almost a complete seperation between the Military and many of our citizens in times when we deploy to third world countries. They do not understand a lot of things that we encounter or our eagerness to do something about it, when given the chance. We divide ourselves into political parties and disect everything our own country does in a hope that we can find something to use in order to get our own candidates elected in the next one. All the while displaying ourselves embarrassingly and shamelessly along side foreigners that jump at the chance to point a "high and mighty" finger. I love my country despite it's imperfections and despite what foreigners would have Americans believe about it's own government.

GySgt I respect any man in the military, as a liberal my family had quite a military backgroung itself. I know that soldiers have to make split decisons on the battlefield, regardless what the "rules" say. You say your country has imperfections (like every country may I add), then how does that make you government right in the action it chooses. I love my country too - the UK, but I know it was wrong in the Iraq situation.

The thing I have noticed above all on this website is the political patisans.
If you are Republican, you must support war, pro-life etc. If you liberal you must support such and such.
Politics, hence life is rarely as black and white as that.

Nah, I just don't bother making a page or two essay on why I'm right when I already know ahead of time you'll disagree anyway. You're an American, you'll never go against your country.

I won't change because I am patriotic, but as a question why are you patriotic to something that no longer exist. It didn't work; America does.

I know you won't change my mind, but just out of curiosity is it possible to change yours? Probably not, and your just another one of the "ignorant mass".

I don't play the partisan game myself, I believe in America and the traditions this country represent. While I am republican I support this war, because I believe it was going to be the only option sooner or later, might as well get it done with. I believe that abortion is wrong, however, back alley abortions, coat hanger parties, and other dangerous end pregnancy methods would still exist and a desperate mother is a desperate mother. I am also against drug prohibition because much like alcohol, a person who is prone to use will do these substances at all costs, regulation and safeguards would be a better and more economically friendly option, Gun control, well, I am vehemently opposed to it as well as unreasonable attacks on the bill of rights, so all explanation should be plain and simple there. Great points though.
