Well, if you want a good conspiracy theory, Harris and Trump was a proxy war between two different groups of rich people who might want similar things. What' say you?Am reviewing CNN's exit polling data, and this one stood out as counterintuitive (or rather, counter narrative). The majority of those making more than $100k supported Harris. Those making less than $100k supported Trump:

I think it's fair to say that the left would call Republicans the "party of the rich."Why is that counter intuitive?
More educated people voted for the sane choice. More educated people tend to make more money.
Trump has always been a lot more popular with the less educated (which is why he "loves" them, as he said)
I think it's fair to say that the left would call Republicans the "party of the rich."
That is usually true unless and until the other party's policies favor them. I also think a lot of it (i.e., not publishing endorsements of Harris, etc.) may not have been so much about censorship but more about not wanting to make Trump's enemies list. Speaking of enemies lists -- the Kremlin just said it wasn't going to congratulate Trump. Ukraine could be saved by that act aloneI think it's fair to say that the left would call Republicans the "party of the rich."
Then let's settle on "no poor.""Rich" not as in 100k. "Rich" as in more billionaires sponsoring Rs than Ds. (I am not saying it's true - just that this is what the stereotype is.)

... and as I kept reading, I think we can go back to "Rich."

... though it's also true the very poor went for Harris.
Well, which is more embarrassing, to be called in private or tell the public that you won't be calling him?You really think Putin did not call Trump? Common... They've been interacting all these years including what Putin told Trump not to make it public that Trump is sending him COVID machines to protect Trump...
This is indicative of the shift in both of the parties' demographics in recent years. Democrats have been growing in support among liberal elites who live in urban centers and their suburbs while the GOP has been growing in support from the working class.Am reviewing CNN's exit polling data, and this one stood out as counterintuitive (or rather, counter narrative). Well, then (Bernie?) Sanders was right, the Democrats never appealed to the Middle Class. (All I know is someone with the last name of Sanders said that -- could have been Sarah Huckabee for all I know... and as I kept reading, I think we can go back to "Rich."

I'll try to keep that in mind the next time I read a rant on this site, or a MSM story, about the GOP being the party of the wealthy.Yes, the poorEST have been traditionally Ds (Harris probably UNDERperformed with them vs prior elections - just my guess). The more educated also went with Ds. Again, I am not seeing anything strange here.
Why do you believe this to be true? But very interesting that they don't want more tax cuts, particularly corporate tax cuts.
Why do you believe this to be true?
That's sounds made up.However, exit polls don't get a good sample of rich people.
Those numbers are so close as to be virtually meaningless. When you find a 60-40, then you'll have something.... and as I kept reading, I think we can go back to "Rich."

Maybe I misunderstood you. When you said "they don't want more tax cuts, particularly corporate tax cuts" I assumed "they" were the majority of voters. Whom did you mean?Because that is one certainty about Trump's future policy. Congress will offer tax cuts (it's what Republicans do) and he will sign them.
Why do you believe otherwise?
