Solution to the whole problem, a federal government of the former Palestine based upon member states who are able to maintain their identity. Constituent States...
1. Israel
2. Judea (current Israel split into the biblical countries of Israel and Judea)
3. Lebanon
4. Gaza
5. West Bank
6. Golan
Two houses as per the US; the first based upon an electoral college and the second with representatives from each state.

Just when I thought that the one state solution is the most surreal solution in the solutions arsenal to this conflict... congratulations.

Judea is in the west bank, not in Israel...
And what about Jordan? Why is Lebanon included?

Jordan has a stable government and no reason to give up sovereignty.

But it was part of Palestine, shouldn't it be given to the Palestinians too?

I have no idea. Whatever happens the US should stay out of it. Let them sort it out themselves.

Same goes for Israel, which is why the one state solution is ridiculous.

This solution is even more ridiculous though, as it cancels the sovereignty of Lebanon as well for god knows what reason.

I know it does, but I just try to understand this idea of a federal goverment in "former Palestine", first by understanding how he picked the members

Nice try, but there's no way in hell that is happening.

I'm assuming this federated nation has collective sovereignty, as opposed to soveriegnty of individual states.

Um, yeah, Israel is going to give up its sovereignty to a multi-state federation where it is outnumbered in both legislative houses by people who mostly hate its existence. Uh, no.

And if the federated over-gov't does NOT have sovereignty over the several states.... then WTf would make anyone think it can SOLVE anything?

Nice try, no cigar.

No, the West Bank was part of the ancient Kingdom of Israel, which also comprised of the northern part of what is now the modern Israel.

The ancient Kingdom of Judea (Judah) was the southern Kingdom that is now essentially inside Isreal.

The Gaza Strip more or less equates to the ancient Philistine State and Lebanon more or less equates to the ancient Phoenician State.

Of course there would have to be a basic constitution that underpins the rights of each Nation State/rights of the Federal Government and to protect the smaller Nations from the tyrrany of the majority but essentially I have pulled together areas that struggle to exist against their larger neighbours and would benefit from an alliance.

It is human nature to first point out why things won't work which is why most of the responses have been negative but to those that won't even consider the concept I ask if the better alternative is another 60 years of the same?

At least verify before you counterdict me.
File:Kingdoms of Israel and Judah map 830.svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

most of the are of the Kingdom of Judea was in what known today as the west bank, we don't call the west bank "Judea and Samaria" for nothing.

I did, and I quote from your post...

"Judea is in the west bank, not in Israel..."

Your politically convenient modern version of Judea may be in the modern West Bank but EVEN ACCORDING TO THE MAP YOU SOURCED The modern West Bank actually spans across the ancient Kingdoms of Judea AND Israel

And the politics of why you now refer to the West Bank as "Judea and Samaria" belong in another thread regarding colonisation and stripping of identity.

Please don't start senseless arguments as if the OP isn't senseless enough.

You were both wrong in a way, part of the Judah Kingdom is in modern Israel and part of the Judah is in the modern West Bank, while the other part is the ancient Israeli kingdom.

No, I was mostly accurate in my posts; I initially missed that the modern West Bank spanned into Judea but corrected myself. I'm afraid that ido_ was totally innaccurate.

If you want to moderate between us I suggest you don't start off by making personalised attacks via the subject of the OP.

Ido said that Judah is in the West Bank and not in modern Israel. He was wrong as part of Judah is in Israel.

You said in return to this statement: "No, the West Bank was part of the ancient Kingdom of Israel", you were wrong as only a part of the West Bank was in ancient Israel.
The other part was in the kingdom of Judah.

Comprende?

I said MOST of Judea and I never said Judea is all of the west bank I said its IN the west bank

That was after you said:

Judea is in the west bank, not in Israel...
And what about Jordan? Why is Lebanon included?

Judea is partially in modern Israel.

the solution of all problems is return the right back to its owner
give the lands back to palestineans and let them control their lands
