Police State Too Much? Send in a Marine! - YouTube

Before you think I'm bashing obama who I don't have an ounce of respect for and won't even capitalise his name this started under Bush after 9/11 and its simply gone too far. The United States Government has produced a police / security force capable of managing a police state the likes of which Iran would be proud of, China couldn't even match, and North Korea uses daily.

The man in this video said it best. We're creating a Department of Homeland Security that would rival most militaries. The greatest enemies of this nation are no longer foreign - they are domestic and I don't mean gun toting Christians or al queda. The people need to tell our government, while we can, this needs to stop. We don't need this in a free and sane country. We are not egypt, we are not a communist state or yet a socialist state.

The only solice I find in this is that I know first hand a lot of those people DHS is counting on won't tolerate their demands to control our population. I pray one day the people will march on Washington DC and demand the same kind of regime change that sent Mubark to prison; and hopefully the leaders who made this police state possible will take up space in the next cell.

With 10% of the US population now paying 71% (and rising) of all federal income taxes and a bit over 15% (and rising) of the US population being dependent upon gov't handouts for their basic survival then "austerity day" is bound to occur eventually. When "austerity day" finally occurs then things will get very "uneasy" for those in power.

Good point. This isn't to protect the middle class its to protect the rich.

By remembering that it was indeed bush (we can both play at the Capitalization game:)) who created the largest Secret Police force in history, 100K bureaucrats with guns, at least we can be more open and honest about what happened. Of course, obama :))) has simply "capitalized" on the opportunity and now, more than ever, we have a KGB of our very own.

The basic problem that begs resolution is that when the police misbehave - who do you call? The police?

Better get used to it and pray that no future executive chooses to abuse these powers they have given themselves. There won't be any marches on Washington no matter how many magazines you accumulate. You're outnumbered and outgunned.

As they say "deal with it". The times they are a'changin'

Funny, I have made it to 50 with just a few scrapes with the law.
And none in the last 25 years.
But people are talking like this is pre war Germany.

There are too many similarities to ignore. Most notably economic.
