I hesitate to describe the current government as an "administration", because it is not that, obviously. An administration is an organization that executes the policies of Congress per the Constitution and operates in accordance with US law. This cabal is the opposite of that, so I describe it as a "regime".

The issue at present, though, is "how to describe it?" Merriam-Webster provides this guide:

A Lesson on 'Unmoral', 'Immoral', 'Nonmoral', and 'Amoral'

"All of them have prefixes meaning "not." So which to use when?"

As I approached this question, I rejected both Unmoral and Nonmoral. The first, as, collectively, this is a group of humans working together, so sapient. The latter because the subjects are certainly those that are "usually subject to moral concerns". Left with the choices - moral, amoral, or immoral - I concluded there is only one appropriate conclusion: their actions are based upon immorality, "conscientious rejection of typical moral standards and has a connotation of evil or wrongdoing."

Discuss.

I would not call it immoral. We have had immoral administrations in the past, run by wicked, power-obsessed, venal men. They have not approached this level of maliciousness. I would term the administration anti-moral. That is, openly acting in an intentionally diabolical way out of a desire to maximize harm, self-dealing, disintegrating the rule of law, and be seen doing so, but then telling people with a smile on their face all the good they are accomplishing while burning everything to the ground.

I agree. I hadn't thought of trying to describe it that way, but your description is apt. It's not just not caring, it is knowing something is wrong and pursuing that path rather than just neglecting to do the right thing.

I'm thinking, specifically, of the approach to the case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia - they have been instructed, explicitly, what they are supposed to do, but they are deliberately undermining the possibility of complying.
