The best minds have weighed in, Trump is most certainly not a fascist by any definition that his held by the experts. The fact that you either are not aware enough to know this or you are found here to be lying crashes into your credibility.

 
Because of Trump's latest tweet I hope his inauguration is a catastrophe nd forever will be known as a national disgrace.

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote.

I do not think Americans wan't to see a militaristic inauguration. We much prefer to see peace, freedom, and optimism, to a military show.

That's not to denigrate or overlook the military.

But we've got the mightiest military in the world, we know it, and we don't need to flaunt it or show it off. Leave that for Putin, Kim Jong-il, and others of their dictatorial ilk.
 
You're working the same angle I was kinda' thinking, but it seemed so outlandish I didn't seriously consider it.

A political stunt, even though that's one helluva' interesting tie-in their being Trump's relatives and all.

But seriously, Trump needs to get away from his alliance with Putin if he doesn't want more of this. Putin's a distant distraction for most Americans, but Europe - especially Eastern Europe - takes him far more seriously (as they should!).
 

I too do not want the inauguration to look like a graduation at West Point. At the same time, I see no reason to keep the military out of sight at the inauguration. I for one appreciate those who are willing to put it all on the line for their country--we do have an all volunteer military--and I think they would appreciate an opportunity to be seen and to be acknowledged.

Democracy supporters spend even more

Supporters of America spend even more than that.
 
I think you bring-up a good point: The Celebrity Apprentice star cannot be a happy camper, here.

And you're right: It's because he sold his soul to the Right, the GOP, and Alt-Right. Particularly troublesome is the the latter.

But you see, things like this give me a little hope. Nine months ago, this guy was fairly moderate. And he was anti-establishment. Kinda' like the guy I would like to see in the White House! But he committed unforgivable sins during his campaign that have pretty much cemented my dislike of him as a person, though. However, if he were to be a moderate President, I could still perhaps find solace in that, especially if he could freakin' learn to *act* Presidential - the last seemingly an impossibility. Unfortunately, his cabinet picks speak neither of anti-establishment, nor of moderation. His picks speak of GOP establishment & the biggest alligators in the swamp. Sadly.
 

If 1st cav marching band is in, it will definatly be military music. Expect music with bass notes at every other step of the parade, military music uses the bass to synchronize steps during a march, so a soldier can tell if they are marching out of step and correct themselves.

I have had to listen to the first cav marching band in nearly every change of command on fort hood, from batallion level to post commander level. Almost guaranteed they will probably try throw yellow rose of texas in there somewhere in the music lineup.
 

I have tried to make it to see military bands, I tend to enjoy them. Wife is 26 years USA so I have had chances.
 
Of course.

The military should not be out of sight.

But our American values need to be at the forefront: Freedom, Peace, Opportunity, etc.

Every country's got a military, but we're suppose to have superior ideas that transcend military force.

Of course he could always state he is keeping it low key because the debt has doubled in the past few years, so this country can't afford to spend money we don't have just so we can pretend that things are okay when so many people are having a hard time these days. He can also mention that he intends to work hard to make times better for everyone and he isn't taking a salary to do this job, either. Then let it go at that! Most people would understand that explanation, and might even personally approve of it!
