For example: Iran has universal healthcare, free college, strict property regulations, strict business regulations, strict investment regulations and ranks 171th on the Index of Economic Freedom, though it has strongly socially conservative laws.

If we use the traditional left-right spectrum, Iran would rank around the middle because of its left-wing economic laws and it's far-right social laws.

If we use the Political Compass, Iran ranks left-authoritarian, which seems more accurate.

So sad that a country like Iran is in the 21st century when it comes to health care policy and 'Murica-****-yeah is still way behind.
