Former Ronald Reagan aide, Paul Crag Roberts, has come out and lambasted Bush over his Iraq policy, and the troop surge. Roberts goes so far to compare Bush to Adolph Hitler, who was so detached from reality in his last days on earth, that he was ordering troops into battle that did not exist. His statement that Americans have shed the stupor that gave Carte Blanche to to the Bush administration could never be truer. Moreover, the admission by an administration official on NBC News that Bush is sending troops for political reasons instead of military reasons is further proof that Bush is off his rocker. Finally, it looks like only a handful of Senate Republicans support his troop surge, maybe 17 at the very most.
This whole stinking administration is about to go up in flames. When Bush loses support of not only the American people, but even influential Republicans, and the military itself, yet goes ahead with his plan to send more soldiers to bleed and die, based not on military strategy, but on politics, one has to truly question his sanity. In that respect, the comparison to Hitler in his last days is truly spot on.
