No, not farfetched for a religion that believes the entire world was once covered in water higher than the himilayas and that a man can be swallowed by a fish and come away unharmed after being the fish's digestive system for three days and three night.s That God needed a ****ing rib to create Eve (not a powerful guy! Even Thor beats that)

Here's a clue on what 'Pastor' anyone is preaching: 1) There is no archeological evidence that the tribes of Israel were EVER in Egypt. 2) Egypt during the reigns of the Pharohs NEVER used slaves to build the pyramids; the archeological evidence is that the builders were considered "holy" for their knowledge of how to reach up to god. 3) There is no archeological evidence that the Red Sea shows NO SIGN of any large tribe of people ever crossing - and since it is claimed there were more than a million of them, traces like camps, graves etc. would most certainly have existed.
What Pastor anyone won't tell you is that Biblical scholars both Christian and Jew know the "Bible" is not a book at all, NOT a guide to how to live, but a collection of writings by mostly unknown authors which are never laid out with a view of the customs and morals of the day. What pastor anyone will never admit is that homosexuality was openly practiced in Rome, Greece and much of the Mediteranian DURING the time of Christ, yet the "Bible" mentions not a word, but, if you pay attention the main focus of the teachings of Jesus is not morals at all, he hung out with hookers and thieves! No, His biggest focus was on wealth and greed. He took a whip to the money changers! A whip, likely the cruelest hand held device ever!
BTW, anyone can claim the title "Pastor" it has no legal meaning. I am as trained in the bible as any practicing 'pastor" and more than many. But I have discovered that God and Church are very different things. For one, God is never so broke he has to raise $ on telethons every week.
