My morning routine of checking NHK had me seeing an article that was posted last night (JST) but I didn't do a before-bed NHK check because of that law stuff I was researching, as noted in my other post.
So this morning's check had me seeing an interesting story, and I hope I have the English language translation link correct as I sort of rushed all this:
Should also be noted that this is an especially busy time for Japan Rail, as we are in a special holiday period.
Anyway, I am sure of the craftiness of snakes and I'd bet that this snake bet her/his friends he could stop that high speed train, and succeeded. Crafty, isn't it? Can't just try being on the track or it is snake heaven and can't collect the 5 rats that were the bet. Nope, snake climbed up one of those poles and got out on the wire and that snake's family gets free meal from the bet won.
