It's actually conflict of interest for the poor to be voting since they are merely voting for money (democracy as theft) in their pockets rather than for the commonweal. This points to what turns out to be the biggest weakness of the Constitution. It has no conceptual arguments. It should say, for example, you have to be 35 years old to be president and to vote to insure you have enough wisdom and experience. Similarly, the 10th Amendment should clearly say liberal central govt is illegal in America because monopolistic liberal central govt has been the source of evil in human history. Without conceptual arguments the Constitution has little meaning.Liberals can turn it into a living communist Constitution. If the concept of the 10th Amendment had been as clear as the percept of the Second Amendment America would be sitting pretty today instead of staring down the barrel of Sanders, Warren, Waters, Booker, Ocasio-Cortez communist gun.

Hate to break it to you bud but the founders were extremely liberal by the standards of their time.

I get that you really, really. really want a one party state like in those various far right tinpot regimes you lot love so much, but it isn’t going to happen.

"Politics pretty quiet over the week-end. Democrats are attacking and the Republicans are defending. All the Democrats have to do is promise "what they would do if they got in." But the Republicans have to promise "what they would do" and then explain why they haven't already "done it.". — Will Rogers circa 1932

I'm not a Constitutional scholar. I wonder if, way back then, the Founding Fathers even had a concept of "liberal central government". I know they had proponents of a strong federal government, but were those guys considered liberal or conservative...or something else?

Anyway, at least the Founding Fathers had the foresight to include a means of changing the Constitution.

So, James972, perhaps you should work toward changing the Constitution instead of grousing about what the Founding Fathers did or didn't do.

Democracy is also not peanuts.

We haves taxes to ensure the corporations that we protect, supply with educated labor, supply with laws that protect them, etc., if they are successful, return some of that to build that infrastructure they profit from, educate the workers they hire and share community with, fund the government that regulates it, funds the military that defends it, and helps care for the employees ailing parents so they can continue to work and supply you with profits.

etc. As though you couldn't; figure this simple **** out.

I was researching Will Roger’s quotes for the OP and came across another gem:

"The "Ways & Means Committee" is a committee that's supposed to find the Ways to divide up the Means."-Will Rogers early 1930’s

not one party rule at all but 2 intelligent parties( conservative and libertarian) rather than one dumb party( Democract) and one smart party( Republican)

.

the name they were called does not matter. The country was created on the guarantee that liberalism or big government would be illegal.

liberals are turning the country communist not with Amendments but with " interpreting" the COnstitution to be communist.

Is our subject corporate taxes?? Why should corporations pay taxes at all when they merely pass them along to customers like any cost in the form of higher prices?

more typical liberal anti free speech violence! Liberals know the truth so they don't need to be bothered with free speech!!

It is one of several major weaknesses. As government is, by nature, paid for by the members then either the members of the commons come up with their membership dues (taxes) or that membership has no right to dictate what he or others pay in taxes or subsidize in benefits. Moreover, because government is a vehicle for kleptocracy (legalized theft) no one that has a direct conflict of interest (e.g. those on welfare, government suppliers, business subsidy beneficiaries) should be allowed to contribute, work, or vote for politicians.

Of course, at one time the property requirement partially prevented the moochers as stakeholders...no longer.

So in other words an utter fantasy. Noted.

And neither one of those is the “smart party” if your rants are anything to judge by.

Why do birds sing so gay?
Try watching Alex Jones, I think he'll explain it to you better than I ever could.

You shrieking about how they should have “banned liberalism” is especially idiotic because by their own standards they were liberals.

I seen this tired old argument numerous times of how only property owners should be the only ones allowed to vote like it used to be. Everyone votes for their own self interests. The idea that only socialist and communist scum IE moochers/freeloaders are the only ones who do it is laughable. When someone votes for a politician its because they want certain laws enacted, upheld or removed that will directly or indirectly benefit them. It doesn't matter what party they are in.

Also the laws our elected officials enact don't just effect only the property owners. For example when people are drafted for war the government doesn't call only the property owners or when laws are enforced the police don't only arrest property owners, When taxes are increases or decreased it isn't just on the property owners. I might be wrong on this and every person arrested for a crime, been taxed or drafted into military service before the right to vote was extended to non property owners and there is documented evidence to prove this.

It's actually a conflict of interest for the rich to be voting since they are merely voting for money in their pockets rather than for the commonwealth. This points to the biggest weakness of the Constitution. It has no conceptual arguments. It should say, for example, you have to be 35 years old to be president and to vote to insure you have enough wisdom and experience. Similarly, the 10th Amendment should clearly say conservative govt is illegal in America because self-focused conservative govt has been the source of evil in human history. Without conceptual arguments the Constitution has little meaning. Conservatives can turn it into a reactionary fascist Constitution. If the concept of the 10th Amendment had been as clear as the percept of the Second Amendment America would be sitting pretty today instead of staring down the barrel of Trump, Ryan, Paul's fascist gun.

There. I corrected it for you. It's a real shame that partisans such as yourself are incapable of understanding how what you say in attacking the other side equally applies to your own side. It's why folks like you never make any sense whatsoever and your comments are easily dismissed as irrelevant, pointless, and complete nonsense.

You lost me at “conflict of interest for the poor to be voting”.....

The poster is obviously an awful, unhappy, hateful Trumpet. Unaware of realities and truths.

It is a shame Trump has given a voice to these types.

That is the real point of this thread. To vent hate from the radical right.

conservative govt is illegal in America because self-focused conservative govt has been the source of evil in human history. .

Some times the obvious must be stated. Sad but necessary.

Interesting. So how do you propose to deal with the wealthy looking to use government to enrich themselves?
