The Satanic Temple sues Pennsylvania school over after school club denial

Yup. I understand the Equal Access Act. I'm trying to better understand the poster's POV, which is somewhat more nuanced than your answer.
All I'm saying is if they allow one, they gotta allow all, but it would be better if religion were off limits in public schools completely, before, during, or after class, anywhere on school grounds or any events. If it is let in, it will spread.

These democrats just need to give the kids a break from the satanic worship for goodness sakes.
The kids cannot even get away from these democrats and their satanic training at theme parks these days .

Disney’s Child-Predator Problem

Instead of promoting gender ideology, the company would be better served by addressing a longstanding history among its employees.

The Walt Disney Company has long presented itself as the voice for America’s children. According to company lore, the animation studio was founded by a wise and kindly father figure, and its theme parks are “the happiest place on Earth” for kids. In recent weeks, the company has entered the political debate about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education legislation and sought to establish itself as a moral arbiter on children’s education and sexuality.
But behind its meticulously curated self-image, Disney has had a long-standing problem with child predators gaining employment within the company and exploiting minors. In 2014, reporters at CNN published a bombshell six-month investigation that discovered at least 35 Disney employees had been arrested for sex crimes against children, attempting to meet minors for sex, and possession of child pornography over the previous eight years.

So what is the deal with this sexual proclivity that highly educated , White privilege, progressive, democratic Disney employees have with small children, in your opinion ?
I'd hate to see your ire toward the Catholic Church or the Boy Scouts of America toward their much further reaching issues. Will DeSantis he going after them?

You'd think that atheists would have something better to do with their time then driving their kids to and from Satan Club because they think it proves a point. What a bunch of morons.

This is why government should not be involved with religion, period. You have to treat them all the same. Hell, if Scientology can be a religion, so can the Satanic Temple.
absolutely .....these people probably don't give a sht for their right to do this.....more likely they are making the point that religion and government should be separate

if evangelicals had their way and we JUST had private Christian schools then they could have only Christianity recognized and all kids would grow up to think just like them.

thus the push for private schools.

I hope they win.

If there is any justice in the US they should win.

While I don't agree with satanists they have a right to have a club just as much as any other faith.

Freedom of religion is for everyone. Not just religion you agree with.

You realize, Don you, that the Satanic Temple is a group devoted to countering religious entitlements, not benefit from them. So, I think you DO agree with them.

This is why government should not be involved with religion, period. You have to treat them all the same. Hell, if Scientology can be a religion, so can the Satanic Temple.

If there is a Christian club, and there is actually a significant number of students who want to join the Satanic club, then the Satanic Temple club absolutely should be allowed to exist.

But that's really the question. How many people actually want to join the Satanic Temple club? I'm pretty sure that schools cannot be compelled to start clubs that no one wants to join. They probably have a threshold of required interest before sponsoring any club, religious or not.

If there are any religious style clubs in this district, they will either need to let this club join or remove the others.

This is where the Christian Taliban will show their typical hypocrisy. Having Chrisitan things, prayers, perfectly fine. But you know they will throw a fit if muslim prayers are allowed in public, or other religious believes. Their typical hypocrisy will shine like it always does. Constitutional rights for them and them only, screw everybody else.

Touching subject. I'm all for prayer and the pledge of allegiance in our schools. However it does open a huge can of worms on a very slippery slope. If you allow a Christians group you have to allow other religious groups as well. For that reason I'm very torn about having those things in our schools. The current answer has been to insist the groups actions are all student initiated.
The conflict comes down to what is destructive to our kids and our country and our freedom. It's not easy.

The school is part of the government. There should really be no religious clubs sponsored by the school.
I agree, however if they are they should be open to any and all religions…

Isn't that the book the Soviets claimed was banned in America? I wonder what Twain would have written about communism.

Minimum attendance requirements for a club is a reasonable restriction

Actually Twain always said it would never be published…

Hell he put in his will that his autobiography would not be published until the 100th aniversery of his death.

It’s two volumes at 50 bucks each so I haven’t read it yet…

But yeah letters from the earth is eye opening…

And it very well have been banned but my memory is fuzzy on that…

Minimum attendance requirements for a club is a reasonable restriction

Of course it is. I don't know for a fact that that is an issue here though, but if it is, any lawsuit is DOA.

Not sure why the after school satan club was denied, since in most public schools today the "satan club" takes place during classroom instruction though the curriculim being used to indoctrinate children into all kinds of crap like CRT, homosexual agenda, BLM, gender fluid theory, and all manners of leftist ideology.

Why do these people, who try to have just Christianity in the United States, always end up biting themselves in the ass?

And does anyone live in a Southern town where every once in a while a church will rent a school on Sunday morning to have services?
So the elementary school my son started at in San Diego did that, so it isn't just Southern towns.

Rufo is full of it, not a reliable source and basically speaks out of his ass.

How about providing credible evidence for any of the claims about "Disney's child-predator problem"? Pretty sure you can find what the "conservative activist" references in his link, employees arrested for some sort of child sex crimes in all businesses with more than a thousand employees when looking at a time period of ~10 years or more. In fact, they found about the same percentage of Universal employees who have been arrested for the same thing.

None of the cases involved children or teenagers visiting the parks.

I call bullshit

San Diego is about as south on the map of a USA town as you can get to FYI;) And despite the perception that just because for many decades that the prevailing conservative demographic in the greater San Diego county meant ultra conservative. San Diego has always had going back to the '60 a strong contingent of far left radicals, especially coming out of San Diego State University, and especially with a few of they very heavily Mexican populated barrios south of the city---and also some of the hippy dippy White liberal parts like Ocean Beach.

The school is part of the government. There should really be no religious clubs sponsored by the school.
Generally speaking there are not school sponsored religious clubs except in religious private schools. There are some religious clubs in public schools but normally they are sponsored and organized by students.

But you know they will throw a fit if muslim prayers are allowed in public, or other religious believes. Their typical hypocrisy will shine like it always does. You make that up all by yourself.

I think the children get enough of this training straight out of the pit of hell during regular school hours.
They should be able to get a break from it after school for goodness sakes.

Is it true you can have boy parts but feel like a girl?
