WaPo stating the oh so obvious.

Data shows a surge in homegrown attacks not seen in a quarter-century
Domestic terrorism incidents have soared to new highs in the United States, driven chiefly by white-supremacist, anti-Muslim and anti-government extremists on the far right, according to a Washington Post analysis of data compiled by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
The surge reflects a growing threat from homegrown terrorism not seen in a quarter-century, with right-wing extremist attacks and plots greatly eclipsing those from the far left and causing more deaths, the analysis shows.

Except, it doesn't match reality. There are far more examples of left extremist activity, including additional examples last night. I'd prefer that we condemn all the extremist violence.

Article behind paywall, but appears to be more partisan spinning and an attempt to be devisive from WaPo.

even accounting for that, the white supremecists are worse, by the numbers

Yeah... WaPo has stats and facts and you bring BS. I'll believe the stats.

Pay no attention to the summer of rage or the record number of homicides in Democrat cities from coast to coast.

Document your claim regarding a “record number of homicides“ in cities.

Here is the report itself, which is very well documented and not behind a paywall.

Now, if you’re going to claim that it “doesn’t match reality”, you will need to document your claim.

Aren't these the same people that call our Military "Domestic Terrorists?"

"When Colin Kaepernick made his silent protest against injustice, the Right lost their collective shit.
They are compelled to attack the messenger instead of the message because that message makes them all look in the mirror,
at something that doesn't resemble a human being.
No protest of racism is ever okay with racists and never will be."

Okay. Let's sum up what will be said in this thread:

Something related to hating Trump.
Something about White people being racists/terrorists with a counterargument involving the Left and Antifa.
Maybe a few "Republicans/gun fetish" added for seasoning.

even accounting for that, the white supremecists are worse, by the numbers
?? How so. White supremicists, by the numbers, are pretty uncommon in general. They aren't even in the same league as antifa/blm/anti-government unrest that we've seen in portland, seattle, wisconsin, etc.

Extremism like BLM and antifa? Or imaginary extremism?

If that were the case, then the report would have named left wing violence to be the main problem, but it didn't

That isn't even talking about the same thing. It's referring to members of the military being involved in domestic terror incidents (of all types) - 6 over two years - and mentions white supremacist's in the context of the concern about groups attempting to recruit members of the military.

I don't know what WaPo is saying. It's hidden behind a paywall. They do have a poor reputation in terms of injecting bias into their political reporting.

lulz... However the factless and unsupported bullshit you bring has such a sterling reputation.

But but the left....boring.

Here is the meat:

" The percentage of attacks and plots committed by active-duty and reserve personnel rose in 2020 to 6.4 percent of all attacks and plots (7 of 110 total), up from 1.5 percent in 2019 (1 of 65 total) and none in 2018. Active-duty personnel perpetrated 4.5 percent of the attacks in 2020 (five incidents), and reservists conducted 1.8 percent (two incidents). While these individuals represent a tiny percentage of all current active-duty and reserve personnel, the increased number of incidents is still concerning.11 "

So what is drawing on all the hand wringing is 110 incidents in 2020, 7 of them involved active-duty or reserve personnel. 7 out of how many tens of thousands of active-duty and reserves? Compared to over 110+ nights of terror in Portland plus other cities, seems their focus is misplaced.

This is just the next false narrative brought to you by big media and they are using the headline to fool people that there is a problem so they can demand 'loyalty' oaths from our military. The CCP is having a good laugh over this. The left is absolutely destroying our country and our military, the best in the world, is the focus of their efforts now.

I have some questions mostly. When compiling their data, how can they accurately examine what is and isn't a terrorist action when anarchist rioters and BLM protestors arrested for violent actions were regularly set free without charges? Are they assessing the multiple, month long actions in Seattle and Portland as terrorist in nature? Are they counting those as one plot or multiples?

What were the criteria of what met a terrorist action?
Why are they mixing groups in some categories and not in others?

Now, I am not going to say outright they are wrong. But they have an agenda and pushing the numbers as hard as they can makes for more speaking paychecks and grants for more studies.

Doesn't help when you had an ex-Racist In Chief giving them the nod, the wink, the green light and the dog whistles. Trump made America hate again, that POS scumbag.

How about saying in this thread the reality of White Supremacist homegrown terrorists, rightwing lunatics all lathered up by trump. The deadly insurrection isn't enough for these weak, racist cowards. These are right wing extremists.

Apparently people walking and chanting makes one a racist white surpemacist or whatever other bs you can make up.

The stupidity of some of these posts,...

No, the CCP had a great laugh on January 6. Prior to that day, your attempts to minimize the risk might have been more convincing. Now, after the entire nation witnessed right wing extremists storm the capitol, murder cops and chant for Pence to be hung based on imaginary fraud? You are not so credible now.
