I wasn't calling Trump a fascist, simply stating that his style and policy proposals at times resembled those of fascists. There is no cabal of fascists out to get me or anybody in the US outside of perhaps Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is irrelevant. But she or Trump are probably are ignorant of what fascism is. I disagreed with Reagan and Bush, but they didn't exhibit the fascist style of Trump. That was my point, nothing more.

I have to agree with everything in the article. The tactics the fascists use in Hungry and Turkey to maintain power, gerrymandering, voter suppression and controlling the courts is exactly how the Republicans are trying to dominate in the U.S.

They may behave just like that, but the problem is "purge." We have robust protection of speech, especially political speech. That protection, like its lack, is a double-edged sword.
