Do you think Plato’s government would work in the United States, or anywhere else? Or would it be obsolete in this day and time? What are the pro’s and con’s of this type of government in the present and in the past? Are Plato’s thoughts and dictatorship’s the same, if not then what is the difference within the two types of government?

Are we talking about the system in plato’s "the state" here, or the direct democray of the greek city states?
