If the Democrats are to have any hope of attracting voters from the Republican's core support base, I feel they need to rethink their approach to religion and spirituality.
Admittedly I am not very religious myself, nonetheless I can appreciate its value as a source of guidance for the ethics and morality of many people. Say what you will about the Bush camp, but undeniably they've done a stellar job at capitalizing on one of the key Democratic weak points, the lack of a progressive alternative for religious minded voters.
Anyone else feel this way? If so what do think the Dems could do to court this segment of the population more effectively?
