I won't entertain the video because I am leery of such things so I will go to scripture.

In those days Roman coinage was the accepted money in most business transactions.
However the Jewish temple did not take it.
So in order to buy your sacrifice for your family you had to convert your Roman coins to temple script.

Well the money changers were not charging a 1:1 ratio. They might be charging a 3:1 or 3:2 ratio rom:temple.
You then had to buy your sacrifice (inflated cost as well) then you had to change what you had left over back to Roman coins.
So they might give you 2:3 or 1:3 rom:temple on the way out.

They were ripping people off and making a ton of money over something that was supposed to be a sacred ritual.
When Christ saw what was going on he drove them out and turned their tables and said.

My house shall be a house of prayer but you have turned it into a den of thieves.
