Hint for the slower Students: 50 years ago the Republicans were campaigning for Civil Rights legislation while the Democrats were vowing "segregation forever."

Carry on.

I first saw this in my Chicago Tribune on the Perspective page.
It is a guest column.
The Trib is a conservative Republican newspaper.
One of their commentary writers is Jonah Goldberg, a 1st-class work of art for National Review.

Really? Joan Walsh...the woman who wrote a book titled "What's the Matter With White People: Finding Our Way in the Next America." She is a perennial guest on MSNBC who can ALWAYS be counted on to play the race card. She implies in this article that saying 'defund Obamacare' is racist...This article is her true to form.

carry on...

I don't give a crap what lean the newspaper is, the writer of that hunk of partisan liberal trash, Joan Walsh, is anything but a conservative. She writes for Salon... That should tell you everything you need to know about her. This is just another example of a liberal playing the race card to advance an agenda... In other words, it's another lying liberal who puts politics before the truth.

Here are her latest blatherings:

Joan Walsh - Salon.com

Find me anything in there that doesn't have either an angry liberal perspective, or isn't praising people on the left like that idiot Chris Mathews.

rick Santorum and his "blah" people!!!!!!
Sorry you don't like the article picked up by my con Repub newspaper.
While you accuse others of playing the race card, Repubs practice it 24/7/365.

Racism has been and is a strong and driving force in the republicon party since Nixon's southern strategy.
Without support from racists the republicon party would have long since disappeared, and they know that fact all too well.

Funny how, despite the parties switching positions, the same demographics that were into segregation now are still the ones who champion bigotry now. Sometimes they're even the exact same people.

The strategies employed by Trickey Dickey were a new chapter in an old book.
Reagan refined it to an art as only an actor through world war 2 could.

To be brutally frank, it is my opinion that the Democrat Leadership never really changed their position. They now present themselves as the champions of the downtrodden -- and have a deep interest in seeing that they remain grateful, loyal, and downtrodden.

Would this be the Tricky Dicky that appointed the first black Supreme Court Justice, championed school desegregation and implemented the Philadelphia Plan for affirmative action? (While the Democrats were still fielding Segregationist candidates.)
