We are in a War against Radical Islam. This entails either figuring out who is, or may become Radical amongst the followers of Islam, and killing them. Or, attempting to come to some level of compromise between Christianity and Islam.

There really is no other final outcome I can see. So, I ask for your perspective on which direction we should go, unless you see something I do not.

There is the option of trying to figure out why folks become radicals and whether we as a nation can do things that make them less likely to do that. If that is part of the compromise option, I vote for that.

The problem with option number one is that potentially every Muslim could potentially become a radical, so killing them would be entail genocide on a mass level, something I don't think is necessary and frankly can't stomach. I'd rather die in a terrorist attack than be responsible for that.

I don't believe in killing someone merely because they "may become Radical amongst the followers of Islam".

It was politically expedient for Bush to call this a "war" but I would argue that it is not a war in the usual sense. There is no sovereign government with a uniformed military to approach with guns or diplomats. Accepting the false construct of "war" is what limits our thinking in potential responses to the threat.

Militant extremists from various nations are performing criminal acts, and "terror" is the means they have chosen. It is an international police/intelligence effort that is needed to identify extremist cells and end their operational ability.

We also *must* stop occupying sovereign nations, under the guise of the war on terror, because we are accomplishing nothing more than provoking people to take an extremist response.

Somewhere between the two. We should compromise when we can (Libya, Syria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia), and wage ruthless war without blinking an eye when we can't, assuming the benefits outweigh the costs (Iran, al-Qaeda, Hezbollah).

The last enemy we faced that was as radical as modern day muslem facists was the imperial Japanese.

They at least had enough honor to use their tactics against military targets. Islam cant make the same claim. They are cowards that attack innocent civilians intentionally.
