Trump gets to define the issues. The bully has the bully pulpit.

He lost out big time when it got out of control and it was Epstein this, Epstein that.

He has successfully found his distraction by sending the NG into DC to crack down on crime.

"Trump might be a pedophile" has become "Democrats are soft on crime."

Voters are stupid with the attention span of a gnat. The news is not the news at all. It is infotainment. It is guided rumor. The leading story shifts. Trump has the most control over what the leading story is.

Democrats are in trouble again. They need to jump the shark and start proposing big new measures to fight crime in a more sensible way than sending in troops. FAST. Trying to explain to the public that crime is not so bad is seen as "defending crime." Big problem. Facts don't matter. Perception does.

The longer this thing with the NG in DC goes on, the more Trump gains and the more Democrats lose.

"A YouGov poll last week found that 89 percent of Americans think crime in U.S. cities is a problem."

Democrats face challenge in countering Trump on crime

"The poll also showed that more than half of Americans think crime in U.S. cities has increased since 2020. "

-Despite the fact that it hasn't.

"“I don’t think [Democrats] are out of touch because crime has gone down in these cities, so they know how to police their cities,” Smikle said. “They have to just remind voters that they brought crime down in their cities, and they know how to do that.”"

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

This is what Democrats are trying to do and it isn't working. Democrats keep making the same mistakes of thinking voters believe facts. They don't. They believe rumors.

Republicans are soft on corporate crime.

That's one area Democrats need to go.

We need better regulation of industries.
