We have enough of a sample size by now that we can show that Mr. Obama doesn't back our police department and is racist. Here are some of the quotes:

Ferguson:

[W]e need to recognize that the situation in Ferguson speaks to broader challenges that we still face as a nation. The fact is in too many parts of this country a deep distrust exists between law enforcement and communities of color. Some of this is the result of the legacy of racial discrimination in this country.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/11/24/obama-speech-ferguson/

So even though Officer Wilson was innocent of all charges, he still claimed that the nation is racist.

Baltimore:

“This has been going on for a long time,” the President said. “This is not new, and we shouldn’t pretend that it’s new. The good news is that perhaps there’s some newfound awareness, because of social media and video cameras and so forth, that there are problems and challenges when it comes to how policing and our laws are applied in certain communities and we have to pay attention to it.”

https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2015/04/28/president-obama-freddie-gray-s-death-not-new-and-we-shouldn-t-pretend-it-s-new

Again, the presumption that the officers were racist is part of the narrative.

Baton Rouge:

All Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. We've seen such tragedies far too many times, and our hearts go out to the families and communities who've suffered such a painful loss.

http://www.complex.com/life/2016/07/police-killing-alton-sterling-baton-rouge-outrage-protests

Again, Obama is proclaiming the officers involved guilty without considering the facts.

St. Paul:

President Barack Obama says all fair-minded people in the U.S. should be concerned about the problem of frequent police shootings of black people.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/latest-crowd-gathers-at-scene-of-minnesota-police-shooting/2016/07/07/9cc1638a-440a-11e6-a76d-3550dba926ac_story.html

One last assumption that the white officer only shot because he encountered a black man.

Clearly, President Obama assumes white people are guilty of racism and the only white people are to blame for any nationally televised issues. If the President wants to heal racial issues, he needs to start with himself and stop assuming our law enforcement officers are guilty. Instead of presuming our law enforcement is guilty, try following the law and allowing the justice system to do its job. I know that is a foreign concept to Democrats, especially after they supported the farce of a finding regarding Clinton, but it is usually a nonpartisan and fair system.

Two things:

One, when he referred to Ferguson, he wasn't referring to Wilson - he was referring to the Ferguson PD as a whole, where racism was "endemic" in the words of the DOJ. I don't suppose Fox News told you that one.

Two, once more, as in SO many other examples, it seems that to conservatives, the problem isn't the racism itself...but pointing out the racism. See, pointing out the racism only makes things worse, so the blacks are supposed to just be quiet and take it, I guess...and that's why you are so eager to blame Obama about anything that has to do with race. In your eyes, he's supposed to not mention it at all, but pretend the problem doesn't exist.

How incredibly conservative of you.

That is not what you quoted said, nor was it part of his speech.

Well, color me surprised, that is not what you quoted said, nor was it part of his speech.

No, the problem is the assumption of racism without evidence of racism. Just the fact that a white person is involved with a black person and the black person loses out does not equal racism. A racism that you just displayed.

Obama forgot to mention that Ferguson has some of the most crime ridden neighborhoods. He also forgot to mention that the ferguson cops were harassed by city officials to clean up the joint........especially motor vehicle violations.

You didn't read the article, did you? To wit:

The racial disparity in those statistics was so stark that the Justice Department has concluded in a report scheduled for release on Wednesday that there was only one explanation: The Ferguson Police Department was routinely violating the constitutional rights of its black residents.

The report, based on a six-month investigation, provides a glimpse into the roots of the racial tensions that boiled over in Ferguson last summer after a black teenager, Michael Brown, was fatally shot by a white police officer, making it a worldwide flash point in the debate over race and policing in America. It describes a city where the police used force almost exclusively on blacks and regularly stopped people without probable cause. Racial bias is so ingrained, the report said, that Ferguson officials circulated racist jokes on their government email accounts.

...

Those findings reinforce what the city’s black residents have been saying publicly since the shooting in August, that the criminal justice system in Ferguson works differently for blacks and whites. A black motorist who is pulled over is twice as likely to be searched as a white motorist, even though searches of white drivers are more likely to turn up drugs or other contraband, the report found.

...

Minor, largely discretionary offenses such as disturbing the peace and jaywalking were brought almost exclusively against blacks. When whites were charged with these crimes, they were 68 percent more likely to have their cases dismissed, the Justice Department found.

So...how are you going to explain all that away?

Why is it so far outside the conservative pale to admit that maybe, just maybe racism's still a huge freaking problem, that it's not just a matter of black 'victimhood'?

Ah. It was just as simple as that? Really? Then respond to what was specifically found by the DOJ - see comment #6.

No, the problem is the assumption of racism without evidence of racism. Just the fact that a white person is involved with a black person and the black person loses out does not equal racism. A racism that you just displayed.

AGAIN, reply to #6 and then tell me how it was "assumption of racism without evidence of racism."

Every Racist policy in all US history is 100% the invention of the Democrat Party.

They are no better about race today than they were 150 years ago. They have just gone to the opposite extreme, and they are still the only political party to use racial hatred and envy to gain political power

Up until about 60 years ago the Klan was the terrorist arm of the Democrat party. Since then they have replaced the Klan with Racial Poverty Pimps like Sharpton, Jackson and other minority grievance groups.

Although there are some racist who have claimed the Republican Party, unlike Democrats, Republicans never claimed them. The GOP is now and always has been the party of Lincoln.

David Duke was a Democrat while he was in the Klan. He did become a Republican and won one local election. When he tried to go national the Republican Party itself kicked him out as much as they could.

Robert Byrd has much stronger and more recent ties to the Klan than Duke. He was arguably the most powerful Democrat ever who himself was never President. He would have been in office until 2013 if he had not died.

Although Byrd gave a speech where he supposedly recanted his racist views, he made several statement right up until the end showing he was still a nasty little Racist and Democrats still kept reelecting him.

The first Civil Rights Bill came from Eisenhower. It was defeated by Democrats and it was Senate Majority Leader LBJ who led the opposition. It was not until that $cumbag saw a political opportunity for himself that he supported Civil Rights.

The opposition to civil rights was about 95% Democrat. Of the over 100 Dexicates who opposed the 1964 act only 3 became Republicans.

During entire racist past the South was a Democrat stronghold. By the time they became Red States the South was no more racist than any other part of the country.

3 of the 4 top GOP presidential candidates were minorities. Ben Carson was one of them got his strongest support is from Religious Conservatives. This fact destroys the entire propaganda that Conservatives are racist.

Carson endorsed Trump who Democrats are currently lying about being racist.

Racial Poverty Pimps like Sharpton, Jackson and Obama are just as despicable as any Klansmen who ever existed, and they have caused a lot more damage to America as a whole.

The PD gets it's marching orders from the Mayor and city council. They are routinely told to get a x amount of tickets in certain areas. The report also failed to mention anything about routine repeat offenders...... which happens to be black people in the area. 30% of black stops resulted in drivers who had no license, or driving under a suspended license, or multiple past due fines on violations. It's no wonder blacks in the area were found guilty more often by these racist standards............right?

WRONG. Your claim does not even begin to explain the following:

A black motorist who is pulled over is twice as likely to be searched as a white motorist, even though searches of white drivers are more likely to turn up drugs or other contraband

Minor, largely discretionary offenses such as disturbing the peace and jaywalking were brought almost exclusively against blacks. When whites were charged with these crimes, they were 68 percent more likely to have their cases dismissed

C'mon, now. Please don't try to tap-dance, to sea-lawyer their way out of this. Your "what ifs" don't explain away either of the above.

Is it really that difficult to admit that maybe, just maybe there was *gasp* racism involved? Or are you so hidebound to sticking up for law enforcement no matter what they do, that you can't accept that they can be just as human - and just as wrong - as the rest of us?

Every Racist policy in all US history is 100% the invention of the Democrat Party.
Historically, it's usually conservatives that have racist policies...IE: Slavery, Jim Crow, Black code laws, segregation, red lining, etc.

You're right, conservatives racial policies haven't changed for over 150 years. IE: racial coding, voter ID laws, harsher sentencing laws, anti-immigration laws, anti-healthcare, anti-minimum wage, racial profiling, hate crimes against minorities, revisionist history....etc.

You do realize that your print is the exact same size? Maybe there is a setting on your device that is causing the problem.

Good summation. I would add two more:

1) Calling the cops "stupid" over the incident with Henry Gates. The first and early example of how he views everything through a prism of race - the litmus test for a ding a ling liberal. This led to the clownish "Beer Summit". Sweet tap dancing Christ.

2) Throwing his own grandmother under the bus before he was elected by calling her a "typical white woman". Shame on us for electing this race huckster when we knew what we were getting.

People get the government they deserve. Shameful.

No one could prove that the particular incident involving Wilson was racially motivated. However, the DOJ DID prove - by the observations I listed in my previous comment - that racism was indeed endemic in the Ferguson PD.

Of course, y'all can never allow yourselves to even consider the possibility that maybe, just maybe the DOJ was right. No matter what the evidence against a particular PD or against a particular officer, you cannot and must not allow yourselves to ever even THINK that maybe the blacks aren't making it all up as an eternal quest for victimhood.

Glen..... stats do not cover individual stops with known gang members, trouble makers, repeat offenders, people with warrants, or other scenarios.

They count stops.

They hyper partisan DOJ lead by hyper partisan who wanted to prove racism found racism to back their calls to nationalize the police force.

How, silly of the rest of us to find that charge lacking merit.
