The Post is one hell of a movie. I resisted watching it, I lived through that era, and didn't particularly want to go there. I put it in the Netflix list, but I have about 400 movies on the list, and I have no intention of actually watching most of them. Seriously. They get up to the top and I just delete them, or I send them back without watching them.

The wife and I watch a TV show during dinner, and that's mostly what Netflix is for.

I almost sent it back without watching it. I goofed, ran out of Warehouse 13, and threw it in. Most of the time one of us will go meh after a couple minutes, and back it goes.

We knew the government was lying. Anyone with half a brain knew the government was lying it's ass off back then. But the government was a lot stronger back then (although power is a funny thing). I expected the stonewalling to continue.

There is a thing Trekkies do, which character are you most like. I am a Romulan. Romulans are counterpunchers, they let you make the first move, and then pounce. They are also arrogant, and better at tactics than strategy. Guilty, guilty, guilty.

Chess players tend to boil down to tacticians and strategists. You find the best next move, or look for a way to preserve your grand strategy. I'm a next move guy.

The reason I bring all that up is that where the big stuff is concerned, I am cautious. If I had been in Katherine's shoes, I think I would have caved.

Glad she didn't.

Damn, that was a hell of a movie.

Saw it in the theaters. The only movie in my lifetime where the audience clapped at the end. #freedomofthepress!!!

I thought it was an okay movie- but I still think All the President's Men is the definitive film when it came to this.
