Yep, you read that headline right. A Utah Republican has taken the party’s obsession with “family values” to a whole new level of hypocrisy.

In 2024, the Salt Lake Tribune reports that Senator Stuart Adams changed the state’s consent laws after his 18-year-old relative was charged with four first-degree felonies for having sex with a 13-year-old girl. The age of consent in Utah is 18, but 14- and 15-year-olds can consent to sex with someone less than four years their age. Of course, the girl was neither 14 nor 15, and was more than four years younger than the 18-year-old.

This is the gop, I hope you gop voters are proud of your party.

Both the GOP senate leader and his young relative sounds like real scumbags, but the fact of the matter is that BOTH Democrat and Republican politicians use their power and influence to protect and help family members who face legal consequences for their actions. Just ask Hunter Biden.

I don't know what it is, but I can't help but notice that a lot of ultra-religious Christians really have this thing for supporting or otherwise defending the idea of grown-ass men having sex with underaged girls. This clown in Utah isn't a one-off.
 

This thread is about particular Republican politician in Utah. What you are doing here is attempting use equivalence to divert from this particular ugly story.

"no accountability" Republicanism apparently runs the gamut from ignoring Epstein's sexual child-victims to offering apologetics for some Utah Republican's child-molesting relative.

Just once I'd like to hear a Trump Republican say: "I can't support that. That's a bridge too far and violates many of the morals my parents taught me."

But those words never ever come. MAGA has no bottom.
 
And let's not forget the picnickers of 1/6 who were forced to smash their way into the capitol to stop the steal, trump pardoned those criminals. Can you tell us how the Democrats are soft on crime, we really enjoy hearing that story from a republican.

Well trump and Epstein both liked their girls young, under sixteen young. Christians have me hoping there is a god to judge me, even though I'm an atheist or as I like to think of it, reformed Catholic. I will gladly step in front of their god to be judged if I can sit and watch all these good Christians of today being judged...happily.
 
Sad. It's both parties and what about hunter you say. Sad but it doesn't change the fact this is about another republican not following the family values plan.
