It’s rising prices and empty store shelves that has independents getting angry at Biden and company for not doing anything about it. Independents think Biden and company have all the wrong priorities. As for the slaughter. First, look at redistricting. 47 states have completed their redistricting, 3 more remaining. There are now 397 newly drawn districts; 38 districts remain to be redrawn. Out of the 397 newly drawn districts, there are 42 competitive, switchable, at risk districts. Currently held by 29 Democrats and 13 Republicans. Safe seats as of 9 Apr 2022, 177 Democratic, 178 Republican. It is unknown how many safe seats or competitive/at risk seats the remaining 3 states will add to each column. The 3 remaining states are New Hampshire, Florida and Missouri.

Taking a SWAG going by just the 47 states with their new maps, it’s likely the GOP gains 8-12 seats. Which will change once the remaining 3 states complete their redistricting. That’s not a shellacking, but it’s enough for the Republicans to gain control of the house. Keep in mind these figures are dynamic and can change daily. You also have the generic congressional ballot where the Republicans lead 45.9 to 43.0. Back in June 2021, the democrats once lead 48-41. Inflation has taken its toll. The change, driven by independents, the non-affiliated, those less to non-partisan swing voters. They want Biden and company to tackle inflation, rising prices. But all they have heard from Biden and company is Trump, more Trump, the 1-6 hearings, the BBB, the voting rights act, etc. Everything but what Biden and company are going to do with what independents think is this nation’s most important problem.

This accurate observation proves that in the Partisan Politics of today, we don't actually need human legislators. Since we now simply elect one of two dominating parties, lets save a bundle and do away with the human component (I use the term loosely), and just flip all the senate and house vote switches by party; party A, all Yea, party B, all nay, or the opposite. We could get down to about 6 people in the legislature total, and eliminate all the time and effort holding primaries and such.

Save all these posts, and in 2 or 4 years, reverse the D's and R's, Lefts and Rights, and repost; the cyclic flip flop is now the way the American government works. Or doesn't.
