Hillary Clinton promoted her husband's signing of the 1994 crime bill. Blacks stayed home.

Joe Biden wrote and sponsored the 1994 crime bill. Blacks were uninspired during his presidency.

Kamala Harris was a prosecutor and sent a lot of blacks to jail. Blacks stayed home.

The next nominee needs to have zero ties to cops, PBAs, etc.

To attract blacks.

I think it will be Harris or Newsom.

Walz has a bunch of state fraud scandals, plus he apparently sexually abused a bunch of kids that will come out if he is picked.

He's not strong enough. He carries the stain of being on a losing ticket, like Bob Dole in 1996 when he and Ford lost to Carter in 1976, 20 years prior.

I don't like Trump. I voted for Harris. But I think the party needs a strong alpha male in 2028---Walz is not an alpha male.
 
Shapiro was good on Bill Maher's show last night. He's definitely running for Prez.

Ok, if you say so. At the moment like him and Chris Murphy the most. Dems should have some decent choices.
 
Democrats, your best candidate so far is the one you can no longer have—Bernie Sanders.
Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom would lose. Tim Walz, Josh Shapiro, or Mark Kelly MIGHT win, but that’s iffy. If you guys ARE going to have a winning candidate for the Democratic Party’s bicentennial, it will likely be somebody who will come out of nowhere, like Barack Obama did all those years ago.
And btw, your biggest problem isn’t Black voters; it’s Latino voters.

Utterly stupid post. Blacks do not like crime, and they do not like lawlessness any more than anyone else. There is no reason to believe that blacks do not want criminals arrested, prosecuted and punished consistent with the law. What they do not want, is two very different systems of justice. They do not want to be profiled, arrested, prosecuted and punished more often, or more severely than other people who commit crimes.

Is it your position that Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden were had no ties to law cops and were opposed to the prosecution of crime , or that they did not need black votes to win their elections or that blacks were too stupid to realize the views of these Dems?

It is my position that your position stated above is incredibly insulting and overly simplistic. Black voters are a complex and diverse demographic. if they stay at home in any given election it is for complicated and diverse and broad assortment of reasons.
 
Some blacks do like crime and do like lawlessness, this is not controversial to say. They're no different than white trash. A lot of blacks have a hatred for police, all police. I understand, yes, that police have not treated blacks well, and that stems the distrust, but still, there is tension there.
