If the enormous pressure on Russia the world is bringing to bear results in those close to Putin taking him out of power and ending the war, our leader of democracies, including the US, seem likely to get credit, as JFK did, for 'finding a middle way to end a crisis' while avoiding nuclear war.

If the pressure does not, if a result similar to Serbia happens where the wrong war continued for years, the aggressor remained in power for years, and Putin continues to destroy Ukraine - it looks like likely he won't quit by his choice - and remains in totalitarian power, a political backlash with furious publics looking to blame leaders for not doing enough and 'losing the war' seems entirely possible if not very likely, with elections replacing them.

Craig, I understand the worries, but one issue elections the world over?

I support a Putin Must Go Mandate.
ditto.....however getting rid of Putin may not be easy. Like todays republicans the Russian folk like to appear united on everything no matter how wrong.

This will undoubtedly have an impact on elections.

However, the war itself will fade over time in our 24 hour news cycle awareness of the world.

Presenting listings of prices before Biden and after Biden will likely be the impactful ads for the next two elections in 2022 and 2024 in the US.

We'll see. Gas prices up and household income down seems like a pretty powerful one-two punch in American politics.

Very likely, the events that will impact the 2024 Elections have yet to occur.

It's difficult to imagine that Biden will run again and more difficult to imagine that Harris will grow a brain between now and the 2024 Election. So... There's that.

Putin will make an excellent co President of the US with Mr Trump when they take Sleepy away .

Hopefully they will invade California and save the beaches for the good people .

Lol, this is to tempt anyone to what exactly? Surely not a dignified response.

It doesn't work that way here. Unlike your mother Russia, we have elections. Nobody takes anyone away.
