One of the most beautiful moments in a relationship is that instance when you both realize you have bonded. That moment when you both look each other in the eyes and think, "Okay, you and I are now we". When you both are thinking the same thing at the same time and there is nowhere else in the world you would rather be than right there with them. All of lifes problems are put on hold for the moment and nothing else matters except being in that moment.

It's like that scene in the movie Titannic after Jack confronts Rose in the gymnasium and she tells him she is going ahead with here wedding. Then as he is standing on the bow of the ship, she comes walking up behind him and says, "Hello Jack, I've changed me mind!" In that instance, those few moments, is what makes life worth living.

Lust at first site, maybe. Love at first site, only in the movies. I've learned if you fall that hard that fast, it's a red flag that you should take notice of. Unless you like to be used and thought of as a ***** by everyone (including her).

No, this moment happens a little bit into the relationship.

After last year, I'm not ready even to do that, yet.

Look like I'm not the only one who watched Titanic last night.;) I especially love the part when she says "he saved me. In every way a person can be saved." By that time I was just bawling. and I'm getting teary eyed just thinking of that part right now.

In every way a "woman" can be saved!

Men don't need saving.

Just sex and sports!

 I think Jack would have like to been saved from drowning. Just from this thread though I am thinking you are a little more romantic than you may lead on...sex and sports...and the occasional snuggling. ;)

I might open a door and look attentive when she bitches about things I could care less about, but I WILL NOT SPOON!

Women like it when you give them boundaries.

I say that knowing full well how FOS I am.

But that's guy stuff.

No, Jack could have saved himself if he wanted to, there had to be plenty of wreckage around to float on, but in the freezing water he came to a moment of clarity, when he realized what the future held for him and the girl. He saw the constant nagging, not letting him go out drinking with his friends, yelling at him because the baby was upset all day and she couldn't take it anymore. The uncomfortable silent treatment, when he oogled a burlesque dancer, or came home and she refused to make dinner for him because " he has two hands and two feet, he can do it himself". Oh no, Jack saw all this, and chose to slip into the comfortable embrace of lady death, as the waters closed over his head, sinking to the bottom, smiling, knowing that he would never be chained to that fate......

:lamo no she saw the light. She foresaw the constant unattention, the refusal to communicate, or even the disrepect of him checking out other girls in front of her. Or that he expects her to make dinner every night while he lounges on the couch drinking beer, or the refusal to help with any chores. His refusal to help with the baby until she gets so frustrated she can't help but yell at him. Yeah, she saw this and said hey, this thing is only big enough for the one of us.

Maybe it was a little of both?? :)

Plus he had already hit that ***, he was probably already losing interest in her anyway.....

Come to pappa, little girl.

You've been bad...

I say that knowing full well, whenever we hook up, I'm on a dog leash for the duration of the relationship. And I'm willing to put up with everything you do and say (except banging my friends) because you got the *****. You might as well put a trigger on it, because we do what you say. There is no substitute. Unless you want to clean a guys house twice a week. That's never been my dance.

Ah, women.

F.u.c.kin' women!

Women are evil, men are stupid!
