Where are all the creationist and ID'ers this week? I thought you ppl would be having a balll with the new archeological finding of the fish that crawled out of the ocean fossil or missing link that you claim is not present. Particularily those of you ID'ers. So what do you think? More garbage to draw you away from your faith? You kept asking where's the links where's the links, well here's a link.

To some people, there will always be a missing link, no matter what fossil evidence is found:

Duane T. Gish, a retired official of the Institute for Creation Research in San Diego, said, "This alleged transitional fish will have to be evaluated carefully." But he added that he still found evolution "questionable because paleontologists have yet to discover any transitional fossils between complex invertebrates and fish, and this destroys the whole evolutionary story."

It's curious, the fear of faith. I don't understand why it threatens so many people.

Have something to add?
Clickable link or something relevant? What's your point?

Let me know when that fish grows a human arm.

I see, perhaps you know that no one has claimed that humans came from fish? Time to go back and re-read that grade school science text book.

I did add something and it was relevant. Go away, troll.

...............flame.................... Why start a thread if you are going to insult anyone who adds a comment to it?

Relevant? Yep, you're absolutely right. Ppl that are talking about science only do so because we dread the religious in this country. They're a very scary bunch afterall and believe that the end is near. Hmm perhaps they're right. Afterall, Global warming is happening.

lol, what's the matter? Cant' deal with reality?

Why post in a thread when you post nothing relevant to the thread? that's reserved for the basement, do you have something to contribute to this thread KC? If not go back downstairs.

It was very relevant, fuh. Sorry you missed it. Just so you know, not all posts are going to agree with yours. That's why it's called Debate Politics. The basement is for all the profanity and such. My post had nothing of that sort. Your flaming return, however, is what belongs in the basement.

well kid, if you want to debate about it, then debate about it. Perhaps in your world fear of faith is relevant to science, however in the real world it's completely irrelevant and non-existant. All you can do is :spin:.

And my part of this debate asked the question: What is there to fear about some people who have faith? Given the thread you started, it was very relevant. It also went unanswered, which might mean that you fear the question as much as you do the topic you started.

Lol, I believe I did in my former post. Care to read it again?
You just can't hide from the fact that you know nothing of the topic at hand and are only pully crap from your *** that is irrelevant.

Well, since that would pretty much totally disprove evolution, I'm not sure of your point.

You seem to be saying that when a fish grows a human arm that you would then believe in evolution.

All this flaming anger really ruins a good forum. What do you get out of it?

Well, since the opening post was about the newest transitional fossil, and was asking for opinions on it, I don't see how your comment was at all relevent.

How is a comment about people's supposed fear of faith relevent to a discussion about a new scientific find and peoples' reactions to it?

And what is the opposite viewpoint in any discussion involving evolution?

If someone really thinks that evolution says that we come directly from a fish, then a recommendation that they go back to a grade-school level textbook could be construed as a bit of helpful advice.

If someone was claiming that 1+3=7, would it be an insult to tell them that they need to study basic mathematics?

The first insult that I saw in this thread was from you, calling jfuh a troll because he pointed out that you added nothing relevent to the discussion.

There actually is something to this. I myself do fear faith, in a way. I can remember what it was like to ignore information because it made me uncomfortable, many years ago when I was devout in my Catholic Bliss. I suppose I actually do fear ever doing that again.

You first need to get faith before you can understand why people find it threatening.

Are you saying there are those without faith and still wonder why people fear it?

That's for you to figure out. But fear of faith is irrelevant. Stick to the topic kc, and stop :spin:

Then you are just as mistaken as he.
