I’m currently reading the book, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, by Damian Lewis. I’m just about halfway through it and it’s one more piece of the WWII puzzle aside from usual monotonous replaying of footage and propaganda from the time. The British author, Ian Fleming, was a member of the service and had so much material to draw upon when developing his James Bond character. The Brits were definitely at the forefront of developing special operations. I highly recommend reading the book if you’re into WWII history.
