The Low Down on The Low Down

Below is a link to a summary of an appendix regarding the Obama & Co. systematic disenfranchisement of the American People. You know, his opposition.

Be prepared, what you'll find will sicken you...

I don't have time to wade through all of the verbiage at the link, but I did notice that reference was made to the Tea Party so I'll just say that anything that puts the Tea Party and/or the far right out of business is fine with me.

We have a poster here named LowDown.

He needs to post in this thread.

I don't think that I'm anyone, I know who I am.

I also know that neither you nor anyone else is ever going to send me anywhere.

Deal with it.

You obviously have an anger management problem among other issues, sorry but I don't have time to help you.

So you won't mind when the same strategies are turned against you and your ilk?

"Leftist" groups WERE targeted. When you have unprecedented numbers of groups applying for tax-exempt status, it's the IRS' job to make sure they're not committing, you know, TAX FRAUD.

No, it's not a "false narrative." Are you insisting that ONLY conservative groups were targeted for additional scrutiny by the IRS?

New Breakdown of Groups Targeted by IRS - Washington Wire - WSJ

The vast majority of the groups targeted were conservative; however, one question I haven't seen answered is the percentage of total applicants that were conservative compared to liberal.

So much for "debunked."

In a letter sent late Wednesday and released Thursday, Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George said that just 30 percent of groups with the word “progressive” in their name were put through special scrutiny for tax-exempt applications, but 100 percent of groups with “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their name were subjected to invasive questioning.

the number of applicants is not relevant when 100% of them was flagged for extra scrutiny and not one of them received approval after 2011

Why is the inspector general directly contradicting testimony from others in the IRS?

Also, that letter is from late June. The article I posted, from the Wall Street Journal (no Obama lovers they) cites Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee, was published today. So either J. Russell George is full of it, or Republicans on the Hill are full of it.

I know reading comprehension can be hard sometimes
from what you posted

"Now there’s a new estimate from Republicans on the House Committee on Ways and Means: Of the 298 applications that were collected and put on hold by the Internal Revenue Service between mid-2010 and mid-2012, 248, or 83%, were right-leaning, while 29, or 10%, were left-leaning."

not all right leaning groups had “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their name

so I will break down to a simpler form so you can understand

“tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their name = 100% targeted

right-leaning groups = 83% targeted

progressive in their name = 30% targeted

left-leaning groups = 10% targeted

Well yeah. That's what a BOLO is for. "Be On LookOut."

Now, here's to see how well you've been paying attention: do you know WHY certain groups were targeted for extra scrutiny when applying for 501(c)(4) tax exemption?

don't even try to go there. for that failed argument to even hold one drop of water you need to explain why did 100% of groups with “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their name was targeted, but only 30% of groups with progressive in their name were.
or better yet explain how did Obama for America the Obama campaign organization. after the election changed their name to Organizing for Action and received the 501c4 status within months? And don't you dare try to say Organizing for Action is not political. hell they are using the Obama campaign symbol, has his picture on the first page of their web site, and are doing nothing but promoting Obamas agenda

Organizing for Action

will you look at that even their web address has Obamas name in it

so you need to stop with that foolish BS right now because no one is believing that crap

Did I say that?

No, I did not! In the not-distant future the right will be powerless to do any damage to the left.

Because in about thirty years or so it is very likely that one of the final results of the massive demographic change that is coming at the GOP like a tidal wave will be the reduction of the GOP to a minor, regional, party with no national power.
The GOP is likely to join the Whigs.

Those on the right who might like to do harm to the left in the future will therefore have no power to do so, they will be part of a small minority.

If you don't think so I advise you to just wait and see.

No one can stop time and/or change.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

OFA was founded AFTER the re-election, didn't receive 501(c)(4) status until after his re-election, and is now bound by election law.

Those words were chosen on the BOLO because there is very little chance that those organizations were going to fall into what 501(c)(4) tax exemption is intended to allow. If you can prove that OFA is violating election law, be my guest.

The IRS took a lazy, ham-fisted approach to finding organizations that might not qualify for 501(c)(4) status. And not a shred of evidence, not one, exists that any orders to target conservative groups came from the White House. But that hasn't stopped the right-wing Wurlitzer from claiming that Obama sicced the IRS on the poor, mistreated right wing.
