The Left Will Make 2019 a Dark Year

Dennis Prager is a hack of the highest order.

For many Americans who have missed a true Congress exercising its constitutional responsibilities - 2019 should be a ray of sunshine and a breath of fresh air after two years of toady-like compliance with darkness.

Yes mate, 100%!!!

Fevered state, constant agitation, bombshells dropping... Sounds like a routine Trump week. We're used to it.

I agree. Neither Party wants to pass a budget. But that doesn't absolve the Democrats...now that they'll control the House...from taking their responsibilities seriously.

So tell me...what do you think they'll do first? Call Cohen and Flynn in for testimony...or pass a budget?

btw, the GOP never had "both chambers" when it comes to spending bills. You know that, don't you?

They say that right out of the gate they're going to rubber stamp the funding bills the GOP Senate sent over.

And Trump's going to veto that.

If Trump's going to insist on keeping the government shut down, then Democrats will surely proceed with some of their other Constitutional responsibilities.

No. They will vote on a series of bills that are "near identical". That's not a rubber stamp.

In any case, they either won't be brought to a vote in the Senate or they won't be signed by Trump. The House will have to come up with something else.

But funding bills that keep the government open for some short period of time is NOT a budget.

And while Trump continues to signal that he won't sign their budgets, they'll continue their other constitutional responsibilities, including oversight of a dangerous president.

Oh look, another unhinged rant, rave and sour grapes from a trump supporter. :lamo

Politics. Where instead of actually trying to compromise, just make fun of people.

I bet they call Cohen and Flynn in to talk to them before they do anything about a budget.

I suspect they will be able to talk and chew gum at the same time.

Of course you're referring to the "Democrat Majority" Congress resisting the President and attempting to pass legislation taxing Americans to pay for illegal aliens, and furthering Marxist Socialism in America. That's not to mention a concerted effort by the Progressive Marxist Socialist Democrat Left/DSA to impeach Donald J. Trump by hook or crook.....

The American people have made the Democrats in the House the majority party by reversing forty seats previously held by complicit Republicans.

And as Martha Stewart grew famous saying.... that's a good thing.

Democrats don't give a **** about benefitting the country, all they want is to gain more power and votes. The Republican Party is the same way, which is why I'm not apart of any party.

And I am not a part of any party.

But Republicans are bat**** crazy along with not even bothering with a pretense of caring about anyone except their richest donors, so Democrats are the best hope the nation has since we are stuck with a two-party system.

Four years ago I was a Republican. Three years ago I was gone from the GOP, but "Democrat" was still a dirty word to me. It made my lip curl in disgust. And now Republicans are so bad, that I have vested all my hope in the Democratic party which I formerly despised. That's how bad Republicans are. That's how dark the era was that we entered when Trump became president.

I actually didn't think Trump would be this bad. But not a week goes by without him reminding me to never again underestimate how low he can go, and he has dragged the spineless GOP with him.

What were they actually complicit of/with?

That last word should be fascism and the move away from constitutional norms and protections it is what has happened for the last two years under Republican control of Congress.

Why does anyone give a rat's ass what Dennis Prager says? He's a buffoon.

Townhall is a circus of wingnut clowns.

You mean Budget Genius and failed VP candidate Paul Ryan and Ivanka failed to come up with a budget??? What were they doing for two years?
The House writes the Budget. Last I check Ivanka wasn't a member of the House. The President presents a Budget proposal which Congress typically hand in the second stall of the Members' bathroom.

If its through next September they are. All except home land security. Should be an interesting game of chicken.

Can't say I was ever a Republican but was willing to vote for the candidate I thought was best regardless of party. I voted for Ben Gilman a Republican congressman. He then got redistricted out. Won't vote for any national republican however I would consider local candidates. Both parties have supported the Hasidic community in the area. I will vote for the candidate that opposes their agenda. I don't want my community to look like the city. Its why my dad moved out of Queens in the first place.

You seem to forget who the speaker of the house is/was.
