The Latest: Trump’s children involved in Moscow tower talks 37 minutes ago

We will see he has a new boss now.

A boss who has about 4 or 5 lawsuits filed against him and counting challenging the veracity of his appointment and has a fitted orange jumpsuit awaiting him should he make the same mistakes John Mitchell and Robert Kleindeinst made.

What's illegal about talking about the Trump Towers project ??

Well look at it this way, it's kinda like a blow job, it's not illegal to receive one from a consenting adult.

It is however to repeatedly lie about it to the american people and even more important Congress.

Oh My God Oh My God Oh My God! We have got them now! They wanted to build a building and there business was building buildings that proves it we have them now! You guys are just too easy. Wouldn't them doing a deal that worked be more significant?

He also offered Vladimir Putin a 50 million dollar penthouse in Trump Moscow Hotel to help him get the deal through. That's a violation of the Foreign Corrupt Properties Act and clearly illegal.

Huber is investigating the Clinton Foundation NOW and will be testifying to Congress on December 5th per Mark Meadows. Be careful what you ask for.

IDK why you don't sesem to get that if Clinton was indicted, very few of us would care, unless it was TRump abusing the powers of office (which he does every chance he gets). It's YOUR side that's obsessed with her not ours.

According to the link... Trump insisted repeatedly throughout the campaign that he had no business dealings in Russia.

But I guess, somehow, you continue to reconcile Trump's lying...

Do you know the exact date and the exact comments and was he under oath?

And, when it comes to being rational and reasonable, that matters because????

If Trump in July said he didn't have business in Russia he didn't. And I prefer to see exactly what he said than what someone else paraphrases .

Also the link had zero quotes from Trump just others peoples opinions.

The exact ****ing dates don't matter. All that matters is that during the election he deliberately perpetrated a false narrative to the American people via a series of lies about his true relationship with Russia in order to increase his chances of winning an election that if the truth were to be known it would probably have precluded his nomination much less his election. In other words he conspired to defraud the American people and it's government.

President Donald Trump’s eldest son and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, were involved in discussions about the Trump Tower Moscow project at the center of Michael Cohen’s guilty plea for lying to Congress.

That’s according to a person close to the Trump Organization. The person says Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were copied in on emails about the project and Ivanka Trump suggested an architect for the building. The emails were exchanged in late 2015 and included in a tranche of emails turned over to congressional committees by the Trump Organization.

Anonymous source to the AP: Trump crime family involved in Moscow Trump Tower negotiations.

And he had 2 scoops of Ice cream.....Oh and they were vanilla, THATS RACIST!!!!

Well Cohen said they did business until June of 2016 if Trump said he didn't have business in Russia at a rally in July he would be correct so the dates sure as hell matter. But even if he did say he didn't have business in Russia before June 2016 it would be perfectly legal because he wasn't under oath.

When Obama said "you can keep you doctor" 'you can keep your plan" was Obama conspiring to defraud the American people and its government?

Other than Cohen, who testified about it to Congress?

At best, a POLITICAL argument is being made here. Which is ok and fair enough. But what business is that Mueller's? I mean, an elected official alleged to have lied to the American people???

The big deal is that obviously they knew negotiations were continuing past January, 2016, and did not dispute statements by their father, and their father's associates to the contrary.

Why is that a big deal?

Lying runs deep in the Trump household.

So...not saying anything is lying now?

Looks to me like you are desperately trying to find SOMETHING to justify your Trump hatred.

This is a political argument. Its based upon pure speculation about who would have voted for whom based upon what. Maybe Mrs. Clinton should have spent more time in Wisconsin and Michigan talking about trade policy. Who knows? It has no business as a legal argument.

Look-- its a legit political argument. If he's trying to get a business deal with Russia while running for president thats not good. Its horrendous optics, even if the supposed love fest he has with Putin has been grossly overated over the past two years.
Granted, he probably didnt think he would be nominated and certainly not elected (he congratulated Mrs. Clinton on her impending victory during one of his debates) and probably didnt take his candidacy all that seriously shouldnt really matter.

When did Trump appear before Congress and lie about it ??

You a quote for the accusation ??

Thank you for admitting that this is all about politics. Perhaps you can convince the OP there was no crime involved, eh?

There is no secret here nor is there a crime...
This is OLD news.

For Trump, Three Decades of Chasing Deals in Russia

Pretty funny that the left is so desperate that they are NOW spinning old news as if there was a there there, is a new there there.

Carry on...

Except, he said he had "nothing to do with Russia" less than a year after negotiations had stopped on the tower, while in the same breath naming some stuff he had done from 2013 in Russia. Not a lie by commission, but one by omission. Why leave out that he had made attempts to develop real estate in Russia? There is a moral obligation to disclose relevant information in good-faith conversation, and that obligation is especially acute when you're running for President of the United States. Trump's statement that he had "nothing to do with Russia" is a lie by omission, and given the usual obligations in conversation, that Trump would omit this fact is troubling. It adds to the various connections his campaign staffers and advisors, friends, and family have with Russia, and those, in light of the fact that the Russians are known to have attempted to influence our elections, are even more troubling.

That is one problem--others have been pointed out by contributors to this thread.

The central idea here is the reality that Trump was severely compromised by a three decade history of currying favor with Russia in exchange for financial largesse. The president of the uSA must be loyal to only one nation and that is the USA. The Founders created the Electoral College to protect against the threat of an adversarial nation putting creature of their own control into our highest office. And that is precisely what happened in 2016.

This is coming to light and eventually will be the downfall of Trump before he resigns due to (cough) "health problems".

~ This is only important because 37 is a lucky number .

~ So does this mean can we all go back to sleep now ...?

Who can keep up with all the Trump Corp. shenanigans these days?

Tomorrow this will all be washed away by yet another revelation in the daily drama of corrumption (sic) coming out of the white house.

If yesterday's dirty dealings don't matter today, and today's dirty dealings will be back-burnered tomorrow, what's the point of trying to keep up at all?

If Trump hasn't already been tarred-and-feathered by now, for all his bull****, don't expect it to happen in the future, for future bull****, either.

Nobody gives a **** anymore.

Even the most ardent of Trump family detractors are getting "get em fatigue" from this clown show of democrat perpetual outrage .... lol, say it ain't so....lol

I just gotta hear this....Tell us, how is the President "compromised" by attempting to do business in Russia before becoming President?

https://www.justice.gov/criminal-fraud/foreign-corrupt-practices-act

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, 15 U.S.C. §§ 78dd-1, et seq. ("FCPA"), was enacted for the purpose of making it unlawful for certain classes of persons and entities to make payments to foreign government officials to assist in obtaining or retaining business. Specifically, the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA prohibit the willful use of the mails or any means of instrumentality of interstate commerce corruptly in furtherance of any offer, payment, promise to pay, or authorization of the payment of money or anything of value to any person, while knowing that all or a portion of such money or thing of value will be offered, given or promised, directly or indirectly, to a foreign official to influence the foreign official in his or her official capacity, induce the foreign official to do or omit to do an act in violation of his or her lawful duty, or to secure any improper advantage in order to assist in obtaining or retaining business for or with, or directing business to, any person.
