Apparently deporting them and tanking the economy is the answer.I would love to hear the anti-immigration contingent share their proposals about what to do about this issue.
- About 8.3 million U.S. workers in 2022 were unauthorized immigrants, an increase from 7.4 million in 2019. The 2022 number is essentially the same as previous highs in 2008 and 2011.
Deporting them is the law. Apparently democrats only believe in enforcing laws they like. Letting them all into the country because of bad policy was against the law and democrats don't care. They only now claim to support a closed border because it's a real liability to Kamala's bid at the white house.Apparently deporting them and tanking the economy is the answer.
Did Dubya deport them in 2008?Deporting them is the law. Apparently democrats only believe in enforcing laws they like. I'll take that more seriously when conservative business owners stop illegally hiring illegal immigrants as part of their work force.Deporting them is the law. If they made am asylum claim, and most did, they are there legally.Deporting them is the law. Apparently democrats only believe in enforcing laws they like. you know what that means? Almost 100% of them are working, except kids. So much for the claim they are all lazy and on welfare. The constant fear mongering by the right about illegal aliens is bullshit.
What we know about unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S.
Here are key findings about how the U.S. unauthorized immigrant population changed recently:
- The number of unauthorized immigrants from Mexico dropped to 4.0 million in 2022 from a peak of 6.9 million in 2007. Mexico has long been, and remains, the most common country of birth for unauthorized immigrants.
- From 2019 to 2022, the unauthorized immigrant population from nearly every region of the world grew. The Caribbean, South America, Asia, Europe and sub-Saharan Africa all saw increases.
- The unauthorized immigrant population grew in six states from 2019 to 2022 – Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Texas. Only California saw a decrease.

The unauthorized immigrant population in the U.S. grew to 11 million in 2022, but remained below the peak of 12.2 million in 2007.www.pewresearch.org
you cannot deport people with pending claims....you seem to not know how the law works. Before you bleat about enforcement of the law...try learning what due process is and how that works.Deporting them is the law. Apparently democrats only believe in enforcing laws they like. Letting them all into the country because of bad policy was against the law and democrats don't care. They only now claim to support a closed border because it's a real liability to Kamala's bid at the white house.
nope, nor did Trump...he wants them to not have a status, but he made zero attempts to deport anyone in the US....Did Dubya deport them in 2008?
This has me wondering why the population of unauthorized immigrants in California decreased. The constant fear mongering by the right about illegal aliens is bullshit.

most of that population was Mexican...we have been at net zero or minus zero Mexican immigration for years now...I suspect that may be why. This has me wondering why the population of unauthorized immigrants in California decreased.
